Just like we should be doing Jesus was with the sinners because he knew the hearts of the saints. Jesus knew they were hardened of hearts, had holy (better) than you mentality, and were unclean on the inside.
Jesu knew that He would not be able to change the hearts and the minds and ways of the saints. He knew anger and sorrow would be that of the saints and laughter and joy of the sinners.
But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession, so that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; 1 Peter 2:9 NASB
We are all saints called by God for His purpose but there is one thing (that has things that go with) that set apart from the saints that we have been talking and that is we recognize that we are sinners, that we are not perfect and are not better than others and we still have joy, and we repent for sins.
for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, Romans 3:23 NASB
The only perfect one who walked this earth was Jesus.
Jesus was with sinners because they were receptive to His message and His teachings. They wanted to laugh and be joyous, they wanted to be forgiven and not be treated differently or look down upon.
Jesus wanted to be with people (sinners) who would listen and not the ones (saints) who were waste of time. I could picture Jesus every time He had an encounter with the saints wanting to pull His hair out.
They saints wanted to kill Jesus for His message, His teaching, and His way of life.
and they plotted together to arrest Jesus covertly and kill Him. Matthew 26:4 NASB
The saints could not be changed but the sinner could be changed that is why Jesus wanted to be sinner rather than that of the saints.
But the sinners did not want to kill Jesus.
The sinners wanted to change.
Was Jesus right to be the sinner than the saints?
Should Jesus have tried to save them (saints)?
Do you agree with today's teaching?
Tomorrow we continue this...
