Other commentaries talked about beneficence, so looked that up to see what it meant.

What I found is that it means according to dictionary.com the doing of good.

Other things I read are about love and then this fruit and others. So, so far, all the fruits start or deal with love, including this one.

So as for this fruit, it is surrounded by the idea of love and to do good towards others and to be a good Christian man or woman.

14 Now I myself am confident concerning you, my brethren, that you also are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge, able also to admonish [a]one another. Romans 14:15 NKJV
