But the fruit of the Spirit is gentleness.
From what I am reading gentleness in the sense of the verse means kindness.
Barnes Notes on the Bible says, is opposed to a harsh, crabbed, crooked temper.
6 By pureness, by knowledge, by long suffering, by kindness, by the Holy Ghost, by love unfeigned 2 Corinthians 6:6 ASV
The Message Bible talks about kindness instead of kindness.
But according to what I read they mean the same thing for other verses too.
Love is used again for this fruit as well, so far, all the fruits of the spirit have or deal with love.
Think about these things
Love and gentleness think about who the two go together?
Look for ways to be gentleness today?
What do you need to change to be this way?
Pray about:
God I pray you empty us of sourness
God, I pray you fill us with gentleness today
I pray that we no longer live as crabs but people of kindness
I pray the anger and anything that is of evil be taken from our hearts and minds today
God I thank you and praise you for this
