When all you have is nothing, there's a lot to go around. This verse is from song that I recently found and listen to it's called Through Heaven's Eyes.
We Praise God when we have a lot and praise God, and We praise Him when were in abundance. but do We praise Him when we have nothing. I went to Africa a while ago and it amazed how little they have and how much they still praise God will all their soul. They have Nothing and there praising God for that nothing. The little they have they want to give to You to share with them. there was one family that bought and prepared a meal for us with a month salary which isn't much but because We were there, they wanted to give us a meal with all that they had.
Let's take a look at Job 13 Now on the day when his sons and his daughters were eating and drinking wine in their oldest brother’s house, 14 a messenger came to Job and said, “The oxen were plowing and the female donkeys feeding beside them, 15 and the Sabeans attacked and took them. They also killed the servants with the edge of the sword, and I alone have escaped to tell you.” 16 While he was still speaking, another came and said, “The fire of God fell from heaven and burned up the sheep and the servants and consumed them, and I alone have escaped to tell you.” 17 While he was still speaking, another came and said, “The Chaldeans formed three units and made a raid on the camels and took them, and killed the servants with the edge of the sword, and I alone have escaped to tell you.” 18 While he was still speaking, another also came and said, “Your sons and your daughters were eating and drinking wine in their oldest brother’s house, 19 and behold, a great wind came from across the wilderness and struck the four corners of the house, and it fell on the young people and they died, and I alone have escaped to tell you.”
20 Then Job got up, tore his robe, and shaved his head; then he fell to the ground and worshiped.
Job had it all and in a blink of an eye he lost it all and had nothing and he still managed oi fall to the ground and worship God. later it says, 22 Despite all this, Job did not sin, nor did he blame God. Isn't that amazing that all that happened He did not blame God. instead of blame and grumbling He worshipped.
Why can't we be like that? We can, it's all in the way We think. instead of wanting more let's be content with what we have. So we can worship no matter how much We have.
The final thing as I close is that we need to be grateful for what We have and Thanks and Praise God for what we have.
