To the things that God despises we are to resist them and are to guard ourselves against these things entering our lives. Submit therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you. James 4:7. All these things that God despises are not of Him but from the evil one and we are to resist them at every turn, and they will flee from us. We are to be on our guard on such things. 13 Therefore, take up the full armor of God, so that you will be able to resist on the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm. 14 Stand firm therefore, having belted your waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15 and having strapped on your feet the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 in addition to all, taking up the shield of faith with which you will be able to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 And take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. Ephesians 6: 13-17.
We are to resist evil, and we are to stand firm having done everything we could to do those things so we can be full of the Lord Jesus in our lives and not be cast into hell. 8 But for the cowardly, and unbelieving, and abominable, and murderers, and sexually immoral persons, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, their part will be in the lake that burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.” Revelations 21:8. I would rather despise things like Jesus than being cast into that lake that is described above. To do this we need to put on the armor of God every day and get into His word and resist evil and submit to God. These are the things we need to do so we just like Jesus, we can despise the same things as well. We need to be rooted in Jesus so that when these things that Jesus despises come around and come up, we will be firmly planted and that we do not go down the path of the flesh, the evil one, and unrighteousness.

Keep saying that till it hurts and let that sink into your soul. So that on that day you will not be cast into the pit of hell.
