We need to praise God all the time. We need to give Him everything. From our morning constitutional to the time, we hit our pillow for bed we need to be praising God in some way. Yes, praising God is a 24/7 kind of thing. Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 ESV. I looked up the difference between praise and rejoicing, praise means to praise something and rejoicing means to be happy. But to be happy we need to praise so I believe they go hand in hand. We need to praise so we can rejoice in our lives. So, we need to praise 24/7 to have that kind of rejoicing. We need to do as the verse goes on to say and that is to pray without ceasing but what if we put praise as a substitute to say that we need to praise without ceasing.
If every Christian had flatline praise what would that look like? Can you imagine it?
Stronghold would be no more
Walls would come crashing down
Chains would be broken
Lives would be made whole
Powers of hell would just fall off
Sin would not take hold of us
If we as Christians had this kind of praise what could happen and what could we accomplish because of this kind of praise. Just like the verse in Matthew 19:26 (ESV) says, But Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” This kind of praise leads us to this nothing is impossible with God because we are praising Him 24/7. When we do this we are in Him and there is nothing we cannot do. Continue tomorrow....
My mouth is filled with your praise, and with your glory all the day. Psalm 71:8 ESV
