No Doubt...

24 But Thomas, one of the twelve, called Didymus, was not with them when Jesus came. 25 The other disciples therefore said unto him, We have seen the Lord. But he said unto them, Except I shall see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into his side, I will not believe. 26 And after eight days again his disciples were within, and Thomas with them: then came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace be unto you. 27 Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing. 28 And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God. 29 Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed. John 20: 24-29 KJV.

There is song I just started listening to called Doubt by Anne Golden and one of the verses in the song says, you can't make me doubt it Him, would've never made this far without Him. This Got me to think of Thomas and the verses about him doubting that it was Jesus. For Thomas to believe he had to see Jesus' hands and nail holes to believe.

Do we believe as the song says or as Thomas did? For most of us, we fall in the middle of both what the song says and what the verses about Thomas say. We believe Jesus for this thing and the next thing we need to see the proof to believe.  We have doubt because He is not doing it right away, or not the way we want, or at all. So, when that happens, we doubt, and we become like Thomas.

But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind. James 1:6 ESV. Without doubt, we are to seek, see Jesus, and ask in faith. We are not to come as Thomas did, we are to come bold in faith that Jesus will help with what we need, and it may be that in the end that is nothing. (But sometimes nothing is something).

What do you need to stop Doubting about, like Thomas did? Think about it today and write it out. For tomorrow we will bring those to the Lord in prayers and bring down all doubt in the areas that need not to have doubt which is all of them.

31 And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt? Matthew 14:31 KJV.
