So, we know that we are citizens of heaven and that God has prepared a place for us in heaven which those He has called to himself. We know that we cannot fathom the room God has for us. But now let's look at what it looks like on the outside of that place He has for us. it is found in Revelations 21:18-21 (KJV) and it says,18 And the building of the wall of it was of jasper: and the city was pure gold, like unto clear glass.19 And the foundations of the wall of the city were garnished with all manner of precious stones. The first foundation was jasper; the second, sapphire; the third, a chalcedony; the fourth, an emerald; 20 The fifth, sardonyx; the sixth, sardius; the seventh, chrysolyte; the eighth, beryl; the ninth, a topaz; the tenth, a chrysoprasus; the eleventh, a jacinth; the twelfth, an amethyst. 21 And the twelve gates were twelve pearls: every several gate was of one pearl: and the street of the city was pure gold, as it were transparent glass.
This is talking about a new Jerusalem that came from God out of heaven. God made a room for us in heaven and a whole city for us to live in. We can only think about this being the new heaven but according to the titles in NASB, there is a new heaven and earth. So, heaven came to earth can we assume this? I do not know for the Bible does not say. I will say that this is talking about the last day. So, we can take these verses and say that there will be a place for us that we cannot fully fathom. But if we are to live in a place like this in heaven till that time comes this only shows what it might look like in heaven.
As the Bible is not clear what heaven looks like I am only using what the Bible says and the direction of God says to show you what heaven might look like or something like the verse above. Those verses are talking about the new Jerusalem, and I read and know that, but this can be like a glimpse of what heaven might look like.
This series is a glimpse of heaven, not the whole picture. For we do not know the whole picture until we get to heaven.
