Cancer gone, divorce gone, back pain gone, car crashes due to drunkenness gone, abuse gone, and anything like that you can think of, it will all be gone in heaven. 4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. Revelations 21:4 KJV. All those things I listed above before the verse will pass away. There will be no more pain or sorrow in heaven can imagine it.
The major glimpse into heaven is we will have no more pain or sorrow, but there is one more glimpse that is even more major: We get to be with Christ in Heaven. When I saw him, I fell at his feet as though dead. But he laid his right hand on me, saying, “Fear not, I am the first and the last, and the living one. I died, and behold I am alive forevermore, and I have the keys of Death and Hades. Revelations 1:17-18 ESV. We get to see and meet Jesus when we go to heaven and be with the angels and all that God has in heaven. I don't need to know more than that, that we will be with Jesus in Heaven that is good enough for me.
But, as it is written, “What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love him”— 1 Corinthians 2:9 ESV. We may not fully know what heaven is like, but we can take it to heart that we will be with Jesus, and pain and sorrow will be no more. We also know that we have a place (room) in Heaven, an idea of the outside of Heaven, we have treasure in Heaven, and are citizens of Heaven.
All this adds up to the main point that God shows us glimpses of what Heaven will look like so, we will know what to look forward to when we die or ascend to Heaven. It's like a movie He gives us a trailer of Heaven but not the whole picture or we might lose interest or when we get there, we know this and it's kind of like ok God. God wants to wonder about heaven and what it will look like based on the glimpses we get in the Bible and through profits.
