13 The fear of Jehovah is to hate evil: Pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, And the perverse mouth, do I hate. Proverbs 8:13 ASV.
When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with the humble is wisdom. Proverbs 11:2 ESV.
Today I got this in my spirit to speak about the kind of pride God is in into? The answer is God is not into any kind of pride, He is only into the humble. God never says anywhere in the Bible to have pride in anything, anywhere you read about it, it talks about being humble right after it talks about pride. We as Christians are to be humble not of pride. 6 But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble. James 4:6 KJV. Right there we know that God opposes and give grace to the humble. God isn't looking for a bunch of Christians who have pride in Him but are humble before and for Him. Being Boastful of Christ is different than being prideful of God.
For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride of life—is not from the Father but is from the world. 1 John 2:16 ESV. The pride of anything is not of God but of the world, only being humble is from God.
Let's make this day a day like it says in Isaiah 2:12 which says, For the Lord of hosts has a day against all that is proud and lofty, against all that is lifted up—and it shall be brought low. Let's all as Christians come to God as humble not prideful of anything!!!!
In ways are you prideful?
What steps do you need to take to humble yourself in that area?
Think about that today as we go about our day of being humble rather than being prideful.
Dear God, I pray that you give a humble heart
I pray that you help us to reveal the places we are prideful
I pray that we are brought low in those areas so we may become more humble
for you kingdom
I protection around humbleness
that the enemy could not touch us in this area
No power of hell can tell us or make us be prideful of anything
But that God alone would be with us in the battle of being humble instead of prideful
That through Jesus we are victorious in this area of being Humble
