You & Me

 27 So God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. Genesis 1:27 NASB. Today's biblical hero we will be talking about is You and Me. 9 But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession, so that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; 1 Peter 2:9 NASB.  Even though the Bible is finished being written that doesn't mean the story ends in revelation meaning there is a whole lot that happens till revelation happens.  We are a chosen people called by God in His image to do His will. So, we are the story and people that would fill up the Bible if it were written today.

The things Jesus did we have the power to do them. 11 But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you. Romans 8:11 NASB. Because we have the same spirit that Jesus had we can be like David, Jeremiah, Deborah, and all the people in the Bible. Yes, we have the ability in Christ to do amazing things that only can come from God. 23 But Jesus said to him, “‘If You can?’ All things are possible for the one who believes.” Mark 9:23. All things are possible when we believe in Jesus.

Our story is still being written. So, our mighty deeds are still happening or waiting to happen. if you know your Bible it talks about we have the power to move mountains.  And He said to them, “Because of your meager faith; for truly I say to you, if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.” Matthew 17:20 NASB. Just like mighty heroes of the Bible, if we have faith and believe in Jesus we can do those same things.

Want to slay a giant, prophesy about things to happen, judge fairly and just,  stay strong in the Lord, or save an entire nation. We have the ability to do all those things if we believe God can do those things through us. We just have to believe we can through Jesus and have faith like a mustard seed.
