Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect. Romans 12:2 ESV. This is second thing that we need to do to combat wolves in sheep's clothing. We need to wash our minds and saturate our minds with Jesus and His will.
This is not easy as we have a million things to do and think of. But if you remember the message/teaching on empty your mind so you can hear God. This is what we need to do so we can transform our minds to be like Christ. We need to empty our minds of the world and fill it up with God. Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth. Colossians 3:2 ESV. We need to towards heaven and not to man or earth for anything dealing with what is right or in this case wolves in sheep's clothing. God is the only true north. Sanctify them in the truth; your word is truth. John 17:17 ESV. God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.” John 4:24 ESV. The truth in HIs word and God is truth So, we must Seek that which is true.
This morning I was reading about Sennacherib and how he tried to undermine the king of Jerusalem with lies but the king of Jerusalem prayed and sought heaven instead of the earth, he sought truth which only comes from God. They were not trying to be wolves in sheep's clothing but tell you this that we may see that the only way to combat is to seek the truth that is only from God.
Our minds need to be renewed and focused on God so we will have discernment when the wolves in sheep's clothing come, and they will come. We need to be rooted in truth which is the word and rooted in Jesus.
God, I pray for a renewed for all who read this post
I pray that they would conform themselves to things of heaven and not of earth
I pray for protection around them as they do this
I pray that no devil, or evil can touch them for they are of God
