David...

Today's biblical hero is David from the Old Testament. In Hebrew, David means beloved one. David was the third king of Israel. David was a young boy who was a shepherd and a harpist. “Then I will appoint over them one shepherd, My servant David, and he will feed them; he will feed them himself and be their shepherd. Ezekiel 34:23. l  He is most known for killing Goliath. 50 So David prevailed over the Philistine with the sling and the stone: he struck the Philistine and killed him, and there was no sword in David’s hand. 1 Samuel 17:50 NASB.

He found favor in the sight of king saul.22 So Saul sent word to Jesse, saying, “Let David now be my attendant for he has found favor in my sight.” 1 Samuel 16:22 Saul got paranoid and try to kill David, but God was with David. Now it came about on the next day that an evil spirit from God rushed upon Saul, and he raved in the midst of the house while David was playing the harp with his hand, as usual; and a spear was in Saul’s hand. 1 Samuel 18:10 NASB.

David was God's Chosen King but most of all David was a man after God's own heart. 14 But now your kingdom shall not endure. The Lord has sought for Himself a man after His own heart, and the Lord has appointed him ruler over His people, because you have not kept what the Lord commanded you.” 1 Samuel 13:14. David is the most recorded person in the Bible with 66 chapters dedicated to Him.

17 Then the fame of David spread in all the lands; and the Lord brought the fear of him on all the nations. 1 Chronicles 14:17 NASB.

Take time and read and meditate on this great man of God!!! He committed adultery and still found favor In God, Amazing right?

Have a day of David!!!
