Christmas Outreach: Serving ideas...

For the Son of man also came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many. Mark 10:45. As we talked about yesterday, we are here on this earth to minister/serve not to be served or ministered to, we are to do as Jesus did. If we believe in Jesus and follow Him and have a relationship with Him, we are to do this, serve others and minister to them. Today I will talk about three ways you can serve people during the Christmas Season.

The first way you can serve people this Christmas is to help people as they have need. This seems like a no-brainer but most often people today don't do this, and we all need to help one another. Be kind and helpful to one another, tender-hearted [compassionate, understanding], forgiving one another [readily and freely], just as God in Christ also forgave you.  Ephesians 4:32. If we are to be like Jesus then we need to do as this verse says. We need to be the hands and feet of Jesus in serving others to help others just as Jesus did. doing this can be as easy as getting the mail for a lady who cannot get to the mailbox or going grocery shopping for a neighbor, holding a door open for someone who is coming into where you are going, or just praying with someone. It can be anything you see that someone has need of or to do for them.

The second way to serve people during the Christmas season is to invite them to church. don't be like hey I'm dragging you to church or anything of that nature. people do not respond well to that kind of thing, and I don't blame them. No, genuinely ask them to church, would you like to go to church with me and afterward we can go for food, it's on me. Be intentional when you ask don't be shy, hesitant, or anything else. Instead, be bold and do it in the faith of Jesus Christ. for not all the people you will ask will say yes but don't lose heart just keep asking people, and someone or some people are bound to say yes. So go to the main highways that lead out of the city, and invite to the wedding feast as many as you find.’ Matthew 22:9. This verse is talking about a wedding feast, but you get the idea, An invite is what the verse is conveying.

The third way you can serve people during the Christmas season is to create a Christmas gathering with good food and good carols and everything you can think of when you think of Christmas. invite all your neighbors and have fellowship and fun. If anyone asks why you did this tell them that it was all, because of Jesus and his Kingdom. You can choose to get up and say Why or just leave it to the people who ask and love on people. Those servants went out into the streets and gathered together all the people they could find, both bad and good; so the wedding hall was filled with dinner guests [sitting at the banquet table]. Matthew 22:10. this man had guests coming to his wedding feast but no one showed up so he had his servants bring people and he filled the place. what if we did that to everyone who was Christian, we would have so much joy and love in this world. So, go and create that gathering this Christmas season.

These are just three ways to serve people this Christmas season. There are many more ways to serve people during the Christmas season. Have a blessed Day!!!
