What does it look like for you to live out these verses, the verse in Matthew and the one in Luke? For each and every person it is different, so I cannot tell you how you are to live out these verses. The two main things I can tell you is that we are as we have been talking is to do it first seeking the Kingdom of God and the second is do it now. Have a blessed day!!!
That's it for today. For me, it's saying the phrase, the Bible verse piece and it is given then all will be taken care of when I wake up then praying and reading my Bible and blogging and prayer and worship first thing in the morning. I do this first and have committed to doing this first for everything that comes up in my life seek first Jesus and His Kingdom.
I can only give you examples of what to do, I cannot make you do this or call you up every day to tell you to do this. This needs to come up from your soul. If you are looking for a formula on how to do this, I cannot give you one, but I can tell you to read your Bible and it can tell you. But I can say everything you need is in one book and that book is the Bible. Remember instead of using your phone for worthless things, use your phone for Jesus and download worship and listen to it but that is me and I cannot tell you to do that, it is just a suggestion. It has to come from you.
This all leads to you doing this not someone telling you to do this....
I can pray that you do this, with all my heart and soul...
You can lead a horse to water, but you cannot make him drink.
This goes for the same I can lead you to do this, but I cannot make you do this, it has to come from your soul and from your heart.
I pray today that you are led to do this!!!!!
Today I leave with two verses and a song:
But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be provided to you. Matthew 6:33
But seek His kingdom, and these things will be provided to you. Luke 12:31

13 Therefore at such a time the prudent person keeps quiet,
because it is an evil time.
14 Seek good and not evil, so that you may live;
And so may the Lord God
of armies be with you,
Just as you have said!
15 Hate evil, love good,
And establish justice in the gate!
Perhaps the Lord God of
armies
Will be gracious to the remnant of Joseph. Amos 5:13-15

When I pray and worship God in the morning, I say the part of the verse in Matthew that says seek ye first the (His) Kingdom, Then I say, all will be added it will be given. it will be taken care of. the last two statements are because other bibles say, given and the other is because I know if I seek first the kingdom it will be taken care of. No matter what happens God will take care of us in every circumstance if we first seek ye the kingdom.
I try and say that statement when I first get up, but not always do I do it first sometimes I get up and then do it. My goal is to seek God first by doing things. if we are to have the other things God has for us, we need to first seek the kingdom and that is what I am trying to do when I wake up. As the verses say in Matthew 22:21, They say unto him, Caesar’s. Then saith he unto them, Render therefore unto Caesar the things that are Caesar’s; and unto God the things that are God’s. so just as the verse says we are to give God the things that are God's and that for me is seeking him first when I wake up and this isn't something I came up with but from what the word of the bible says I do this, how I do this. The verse says in Matthew 6:33 the one we have been using for this series says, but seek ye first his kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
For this that I do, I do not do It perfectly I said but am going to keep doing it until the day that I die. We are to seek God. Seek good, and not evil, that ye may live; and so Jehovah, the God of hosts, will be with you, as ye say. Amos 5:14. We are to seek good and that Good is Jesus, He is the God of hosts, He is Jehovah. And I will wait for the Lord who is hiding His face from the house of Jacob; I will wait eagerly for Him. Isaiah 8:17. We are to eagerly wait to seek Jesus, to wait upon the lord. But even though God knows all things we still want to seek Him first so he can do the things and be with us for things he has promised. I do not seek God for anything before I see Him First.
Every morning I get up and do my bathroom routine then I make coffee and then I seek God and then I read the word, blog, then worship and prayer. I am one who is old out for Jesus, and I still have unbelief or doubt sometimes but I keep seeking Jesus and His Kingdom. No matter what my flesh says or what my thought is I will keep seeking Jesus because of this verses and because this is what it looks like for me to seek his kingdom first. There are things I do not understand, and I still keep seeking Jesus. No matter what I will keep seeking Jesus and put that first for everything else will fall into place if I do so. It does not mean that everything will go smoothly or go right or nothing bad will happen, it just means through it all God will be with me through it all.
I started doing all this at the start of this year and do not say all this to boast about what I do. but to show you how I seek ye the kingdom first as an example. And yes, this is not the end of what I will do or may make adjustments to always seek Jesus and His Kingdom. Have a blessed day!!! Tomorrow we will talk about what it looks like for you to live out these verse.

The day passes like chaff—
Before the burning anger of the Lord comes
upon you,
Before the day of the Lord’s anger comes upon you.
3 Seek the Lord,
All you humble of the earth
Who have practiced His ordinances;
Seek righteousness, seek humility.
Perhaps you will remain hidden
On the day of the Lord’s anger.
4 For Gaza will be abandoned,
And Ashkelon will become a desolation;
The inhabitants of Ashdod will be driven out at noon,
And Ekron will be uprooted.

Food and drink and such are minor things compared to the things and blessings God has for us. The story yesterday explained because the man who had killed himself did not seek God and think that God was for him, God could not give him all the blessings He had for him. So, instead of seeking the one, he knew could give him all the blessings that were stored up for him, he killed himself because he thought God was not for him.
God cannot give all that he has for us if we are not first seeking Him and His Kingdom, so the minor things, I said in the first sentence today will be added. 19 I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; and whatever you bind on earth shall have been bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall have been loosed in heaven. Matthew 16:19. If we are to have things like peter did in verse 19, we need to first seek ye the Kingdom of God. Seek the Lord, All you humble of the earth Who have practiced His ordinances; seek righteousness, seek humility. Perhaps you will remain hidden On the day of the Lord’s anger. Zephaniah 2:3. look again we are to seek the Lord, but it does not say first. even though it says kingdom in the verses we are talking about the Kingdom being the Lords so, we should seek the Lord in his kingdom as well.
This idea culminates to one thing, we are to seek the way of the Lord (His Kingdom) first and it will be added what we need so that we can get more of the things God wants us to know and have not just the minor things. God wants to give us more than just water and food and clothing and shelter. He has a box full of blessings for us in heaven and He is waiting for us to seek him first so He can give us those blessings.
But what does that look like, how do we live that out. I will explain the last paragraph more in depth and what it looks like and how to live it out tomorrow. Have a blessed day!!!!

10 “For this is what the Lord says: ‘When seventy years have been completed for Babylon, I will visit you and fulfill My good word to you, to bring you back to this place. 11 For I know the plans that I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans for prosperity and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. 12 Then you will call upon Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. 13 And you will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart. 14 I will let Myself be found by you,’ declares the Lord, ‘and I will restore your fortunes and gather you from all the nations and all the places where I have driven you,’ declares the Lord, ‘and I will bring you back to the place from where I sent you into exile.’ Jeremiah 29:10-14
All Bible verses taken from the NASB
17 For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost. Romans 14:17. When we think of things we need or want we think of things of this earth like Meat or drink but the kingdom we are to seek is not those things but of righteousness, peace, and joy in the holy ghost. We need those things, yes but if that is all we seek will not be seeking the kingdom and had for what god has for us. 27 Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him hath God the Father sealed. John 6:27. we are not labor for the meat of this earth but the meat that God gives us so that we may have everlasting life In Jesus.
As I said yesterday God knows what we need and will provide if we first seek His Kingdom. the reason he said these verses in Matthew and then in Luke is telling us that we need not worry about those things because God has more for us than those things. In Matthew 6:27 it says, which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature? In the ASV it says worry and in the NASB it says anxious. So, if we worry about these things, we may miss what God has for us. God Has so much more for us than food, drink, clothing, and a place to live. but if we live in those things and only seek those things, we will miss all the other stuff God has for us. For the Gentiles eagerly seek all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. Matthew 6:32.
We are to seek the things of God not of the earth. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys, and where thieves do not break in or steal; Matthew 6:20. We are to seek the treasures of heaven not earth like food or drink. we are to seek his kingdom and those things will be taken care of so that we can focus on more important things that God has for us.
A story, a man kills himself and goes to heaven. God takes him to a room full of blessings and shows him a box full of all the blessings He had for him but was unable to give to him because he did not think God was for him and before he could give them to him for he had killed himself. what if God is waiting up in heaven for us to do as Mathew 6:33 says so, we can have the blessing he has in store for us. Know that God is for you and not against you. 11 For I know the plans that I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans for prosperity and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. Jeremiah 29:11. Food and drink and such are minor things compared to the things and blessings God has for us.
I will let all that mediate (let you mediate on) and swill around in your brain. For tomorrow we continue this series. Have a blessed day!!!

16 Then justice shall dwell in the wilderness; and righteousness shall abide in the fruitful field. 17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness, quietness and confidence for ever. 18 And my people shall abide in a peaceable habitation, and in safe dwellings, and in quiet resting-places. 19 But it shall hail in the downfall of the forest; and the city shall be utterly laid low. 20 Blessed are ye that sow beside all waters, that send forth the feet of the ox and the ass. Isaiah 32:16-20
All Bible verses taken from the ASV
This idea of needing to eat, drink, and be clothed is not new. And my people shall abide in a peaceable habitation, and in safe dwellings, and in quiet resting-places. Isaiah 32:18. The other thing that is not mentioned in these verses is where we are to lay our heads and God knows this as well. These 4 are the basic things we need for survival and what we seek after to live a good life. Many foolish people try to seek these things without seeking first the Kingdom. The fear of Jehovah is the beginning of knowledge; But the foolish despise wisdom and instruction. So, if we are instructed to seek first the Kingdom and we do not, are we not foolish for not doing so.
We all want a nice house, good food, and great drinks that taste good but seeking after those things alone is a form of greed and the Bible warns us against that in Luke 12:15, And he said unto them, Take heed, and keep yourselves from all covetousness: for a man’s life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth. God knows we need these things, and we will provide for his people. If you have read your Bible, you know that God helped His people time and time again in the Old and in the New Testaments. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not: ye are of more value than many sparrows. Luke 12:7. If the hairs in our head are numbered what more proof do you need that God cares and knows what we need. Let's go further on this point and look at Luke 12:30, For all these things do the nations of the world seek after: but your Father knoweth that ye have need of these things. This verse proves that God knows what we need. But to have all these things we need to first seek ye the Kingdom.
Without God we have nothing and In Him, we have all things. or in him were all things created, in the heavens and upon the earth, things visible and things invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers; all things have been created through him, and unto him; Colossians 1:16. If go on to verse 17 it says, and he is before all things, and in him all things consist. In the New American Standard Bible, it says Hold together. I like the way it is put in the Amplified Bible, And He Himself existed and is before all things, and in Him all things hold together. [His is the controlling, cohesive force of the universe.] Since God know all things and all things were created in Him. He knows what we need and will provide for His people, but we first have to seek His Kingdom.
We need to First seek the Kingdom not because God does not know what we need but to give him what is due to God before he will give us what we need. Have a blessed day, we will continue more on this tomorrow!!!!

29 Jesus answered, The first is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God, the Lord is one: 30 and thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength. 31 The second is this, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these. Mark 12:29-31
All Bible verses taken from the ASV
For the study today I looked up in the Bible of the ASV (American Standard Bible) to see if seek first comes up in any other verses as it says in Matthew and there are no other verses. Hosea 2:7 says, And she shall follow after her lovers, but she shall not overtake them; and she shall seek them, but shall not find them: then shall she say, I will go and return to my first husband; for then was it better with me than now. and Genesis 43:18 says, And the men were afraid because they were brought to Joseph’s house; and they said, Because of the money that was returned in our sacks at the first time are we brought in; that he may seek occasion against us, and fall upon us, and take us for bondmen, and our asses. Most of the versions I looked at have the same verse with seek and first in it. There are a few versions with more, but for this study, we will stick with what most Bibles have.
If something like this is so important, why is it not said more times in the Bible? This I do not know. Is This a way of life? Yes, this is a way of life. This is the foundation of our Christian walk, and it is not by my own thought or opinion, but the verse alone says it that we are to first seek the kingdom and it will be added.
We are not to first seek religion or a message or praise or grace, but we are to first seek His kingdom. We are to seek Jesus with all our hearts and mind. This is said in Mark 12:30, and thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength. But to do this we need to first seek his kingdom.
What are you seeking? I may have you do this already and if I have, do it again, and if not do it.
See what you are seeking then move on to see what you are seeking first? If it is not Jesus and His Kingdom, then make adjustments so it is.
Take time today to meditate on these questions and answer them.
This is so important, that we need to do this every day ask ourselves and seek Jesus' Kingdom first. Even though it is said only twice in the bible, one with first and the other not, we need to practice this as if it were our last breath. Let that sink in and have a blessed day!!!
For Tomorrow we dig deeper into these verses and be led where the spirit leads for more understanding of what this look like and then how to live it out.

13 And one out of the multitude said unto him, Teacher, bid my brother divide the inheritance with me. 14 But he said unto him, Man, who made me a judge or a divider over you? 15 And he said unto them, Take heed, and keep yourselves from all covetousness: for a man’s life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth. 16 And he spake a parable unto them, saying, The ground of a certain rich man brought forth plentifully: 17 and he reasoned within himself, saying, What shall I do, because I have not where to bestow my fruits? 18 And he said, This will I do: I will pull down my barns, and build greater; and there will I bestow all my grain and my goods. 19 And I will say to my ]soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, be merry. 20 But God said unto him, Thou foolish one, this night is thy soul required of thee; and the things which thou hast prepared, whose shall they be? 21 So is he that layeth up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.
22 And he said unto his disciples, Therefore I say unto you, Be not anxious for your [l]life, what ye shall eat; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. 23 For the life is more than the food, and the body than the raiment. 24 Consider the ravens, that they sow not, neither reap; which have no store-chamber nor barn; and God feedeth them: of how much more value are ye than the birds! 25 And which of you by being anxious can add a cubit unto the measure of his life? 26 If then ye are not able to do even that which is least, why are ye anxious concerning the rest? 27 Consider the lilies, how they grow: they toil not, neither do they spin; yet I say unto you, Even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 28 But if God doth so clothe the grass in the field, which to-day is, and to-morrow is cast into the oven; how much more shall he clothe you, O ye of little faith? 29 And seek not ye what ye shall eat, and what ye shall drink, neither be ye of doubtful mind. 30 For all these things do the nations of the world seek after: but your Father knoweth that ye have need of these things. 31 Yet seek ye his kingdom, and these things shall be added unto you. 32 Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom. 33 Sell that which ye have, and give alms; make for yourselves purses which wax not old, a treasure in the heavens that faileth not, where no thief draweth near, neither moth destroyeth. 34 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. Luke 12:13-34
All Bible verses taken from the ASV
As I have talked about this verse in Luke falls under the heading covetousness denounced. This means we do not covet what we have. We are to guard our hearts against greed. Verse 15 says, And he said unto them, Take heed, and keep yourselves from all covetousness: for a man’s life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth. This is important to say here because if you look at Matthew the verses under the heading Cure for Anxiety does not mention this in what shall be added to unto us.
Just like Matthew, we are not to be anxious about what we are to eat, to drink, and what we are to wear. verse 22 and 23 says, And he said unto his disciples, Therefore I say unto you, Be not anxious for your life, what ye shall eat; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. For the life is more than the food, and the body than the raiment. I mention this here to say that is starting to sound like Matthew and what was added according to what Matthew says. So, let's now look at what shall be added unto us according to Luke 12:31.
The first thing that will be added unto us is what we are to eat. let's look at verse 24, Consider the ravens, that they sow not, neither reap; which have no store-chamber nor barn; and God feedeth them: of how much more value are ye than the birds! We just like Verses in Matthew are more valuable than the birds of the earth. So,, God will give us food to eat, and we need to not worry about that.
The second thing that will be added unto us is what we are to wear. Let's look at verses 27 and 28, Consider the lilies, how they grow: they toil not, neither do they spin; yet I say unto you, Even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.at But if God doth so clothe the grass in the field, which to-day is, and to-morrow is cast into the oven; how much more shall he clothe you, O ye of little faith? So, we are to worry about what to wear because if God can clothe the grass and the lilies so how much more can he clothe us.
The third thing is what we are to drink. Let's look at verse 29, And seek not ye what ye shall eat, and what ye shall drink, neither be ye of doubtful mind. There is no example given for drink here. So, we can say that it is still as important as the others because it is mentioned with them.
These are the three things that shall be added unto us according to Luke, so we are not to worry about these things. Have a blessed day!!!!
All Verses taken from the ASV
25 Therefore I say unto you, Be not anxious for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than the food, and the body than the raiment? 26 Behold the birds of the heaven, that they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; and your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are not ye of much more value than they? 27 And which of you by being anxious can add one cubit unto [f]the measure of his life? 28 And why are ye anxious concerning raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: 29 yet I say unto you, that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 30 But if God doth so clothe the grass of the field, which to-day is, and to-morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith? 31 Be not therefore anxious, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? 32 For after all these things do the Gentiles seek; for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. 33 But seek ye first his kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. 34 Be not therefore anxious for the morrow: for the morrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof. Matthew 6:25-34
But seek ye first his kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Matthew 6:33
What is it talking about, and all things shall be added unto you? It is key to add that Matthew says all, and Luke does not say all. So, let's first look at Matthew to see what shall be added unto you.
Let's start at verse 25, Therefore I say unto you, Be not anxious for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than the food, and the body than the raiment? we are not to worry about what we are to eat or drink or what we are to wear God will provide these things they shall be added unto us. Verse 32 says, For after all these things do the Gentiles seek; for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. God Knows we need food to eat, water to drink, and clothes to well so we are not to worry about those things. In verse 28 it goes on further to say that we are not to worry about clothing, but we are to observe the lilies. verse 28, And why are ye anxious concerning raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin.
If we then look at verse 31, Be not therefore anxious, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? So, let's look at verse 26 for an example, Behold the birds of the heaven, that they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; and your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are not ye of much more value than they? We are of much more value than the birds of the sky are we not? The verse answers the question because the question is the answer. We are of more value than the birds of the sky.
God knows all that we need like clothing, food, and drink. This is what shall be added unto us if we seek first ye His Kingdom according to Matthew. Tomorrow we will talk about what shall be added unto us in Luke 12:1. Have a blessed day!!!
1 Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness:
According to the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions.
2 Wash me thoroughly from mine iniquity,
And cleanse me from my sin.
3 For I know my transgressions;
And my sin is ever before me.
4 Against thee, thee only, have I sinned,
And done that which is evil in thy sight;
That thou mayest be justified when thou speakest,
And be clear when thou judgest.
5 Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity;
And in sin did my mother conceive me.
6 Behold, thou desirest truth in the inward parts;
And in the hidden part thou wilt make me to know wisdom.
7 Purify me with hyssop, and I shall be clean:
Wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.
8 Make me to hear joy and gladness,
That the bones which thou hast broken may rejoice.
9 Hide thy face from my sins,
And blot out all mine iniquities.
10 Create in me a clean heart, O God;
And renew a right spirit within me.
11 Cast me not away from thy presence;
And take not thy holy Spirit from me.
12 Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation;
And uphold me with a willing spirit.
13 Then will I teach transgressors thy ways;
And sinners shall be converted unto thee.
14 Deliver me from bloodguiltiness, O God, thou God of my
salvation;
And my tongue shall sing aloud of thy righteousness.
15 O Lord, open thou my lips;
And my mouth shall show forth thy praise.
16 For thou delightest not in sacrifice; else would I give it:
Thou hast no pleasure in burnt-offering.
17 The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit:
A broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.
18 Do good in thy good pleasure unto Zion:
Build thou the walls of Jerusalem.
19 Then wilt thou delight in the sacrifices of righteousness,
In burnt-offering and whole burnt-offering:
Then will they offer bullocks upon thine altar. Psalm 51

33 But seek ye first his kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Matthew 6:33
31 Yet seek ye his kingdom, and these things shall be added unto you. Luke 12:31
Today we will look at the two main verses for this series and the meaning of what each part of the verse has to tell us or show us. For the purpose of this study, we will be using the ASV-American Standard Bible. we are going to go word by word.
Matthew 6:33 opens with but and Luke 12:31 opens with yet, they are one in the same meaning changing direction. We are to change our direction to Jesus and not seek other things.
Then both verses use the word seek, if we stop there, we do not know what we are to seek, so we have to read on. Seek is said 301 times in the ASV. So, it must be important.
In Matthew and also in Luke it says ye and what is ye mean Ye means in the oxford dictionary plural form of thou, but what is thou meaning? Again, from the oxford dictionary, archaic or dialect form of you. So, we meaning you are to seek and what are we to seek.
The next wording tells us what we are to seek and that His Kingdom. They both say His and that His is Jesus-God. but it is worth noting that in the verse in Matthew it says first. So, if go back up to seek which is important because of the member of times it is said in the bible, this is more important than to just seek but to first seek. So, before we do anything else we are to first seek the kingdom of Jesus -God. it also goes on in Matthew to talk about His Meaning Jesus-God's Righteousness. Create in me a clean heart, O God; And renew a right spirit within me. Psalm 51:10. The meaning of righteousness means God's perfection is one meaning I found, and another was holiness.
So, we are to first seek His kingdom and His righteousness in Matthew, and in Luke, we are to just seek His Kingdom. For the purpose of the rest of the series, we will refer to the word first because that is what Matthew says and has a powerful meaning.
Both verses go on to say the same thing and that is all these things will be added unto you.
I leave it there for today because tomorrow we will talk about what will be added unto us. This is so important to understand that it gets its own post. (In the writing of this post, I did refer to outside sources to understand what the meaning of some things were).

So, today we will look at how both verses line up with each other from what is just in the Bible. As I said I am only using the bible to examine these verses. So, let's get started.
The verse in Matthew is said by Jesus during the Sermon on the Mount, The Beatitudes. Now when Jesus saw the crowds, He went up on the mountain; and after He sat down, His disciples came to Him. Matthew 5:1 We know it is during this sermon that He said it because it does not talk about Him leaving that spot before it is said. How do I know that it is because in my Bible I have the red lettering and between the sermon and the verse we are talking about it does not change from red to black at all. (Red lettering means the words are from Jesus-what Jesus said). The verse we are talking about is Matthew 6 33 which is found in the 6th chapter of the book and looks like it is part of the sermon he was doing on that mountain. the whole sermon ends in Matthew 7 at verse 28. When Jesus had finished these words, the crowds were amazed at His teaching; Matthew 7:28. Then He leaves in Matthew 8:1, When Jesus came down from the mountain, large crowds followed Him. So, by both verses, we know that He is done with the sermon on that mountain.
The verse in Luke is said after he has lunch with pharisees. Now when He had spoken, a Pharisee asked Him to have lunch with him; and He went in and reclined at the table. Luke 11:37. In Luke, The Sermon on the Mount, The Beatitudes have already taken place in chapter 6, and after that Jesus moved on from that mountain. We know this by verse 7:1, When He had completed all His teaching in the hearing of the people, He went to Capernaum. So just like the verse in Matthew, we can safely say that Jesus during The Sermon on the Mount was in Galilee because before the verses talked about in that sermon both, it does not mention them leaving that area until chapter 7 verse 1. The verse we are talking about isn't said until chapter 12 of the book of Luke. so we know that it is not said at the time of that sermon on that mountain.
So, it is safe to say that Jesus probably said it twice in two different places. All that we looked at today, can tell us this. The sermon on the Mount was in galilee and before it was said in Luke He has moved on From Galilee.
Tomorrow we will go deeper with both verses and look at the similarities of each of these verses.

25 Therefore I say unto you, Be not anxious for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than the food, and the body than the raiment? Matthew 6:25

Today we will put verse 33 of Matthew 6 in context to the author, where it is in the bible, and what is going on at the time this verse is said in the bible.
The author who wrote this verse is Matthew, but it is Jesus who said it. Matthew was a tax collector and one of the original 12 disciples that Jesus chose to follow Him. it never says that he wrote but there are many clues that he wrote this book because one example is he was there on the day of Pentecost and another example is he was there for Jesus's entire ministry. This book that Matthew wrote was targeted at a Jewish audience.
Where is this in the bible, for this book, it appears during the Sermon on the Mount, The Beatitudes. the verse specifically falls under the heading the cure for anxiety. And seeing the multitudes, he went up into the mountain: and when he had sat down, his disciples came unto him: 2 and he opened his mouth and taught them, saying, Matthew 5:1. after that verse there is no more black writing to say that He left that mountain before the verse we are looking is said. The mountain was in Galilee most likely because of the last heading of the last chapter saying Ministry in Galilee. it may not have been in the city but close by.
As to what is happening, Jesus is ministering to a great multitude of people. and the thing that He is talking about when it gets to the verse, we are looking at is the cure for anxiety. so just like the verse, we examined yesterday we are not to be anxious about what we are to eat or to drink or clothed for we are first to seek the kingdom of God and it will be added. Be not therefore anxious, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? Matthew 6:31. So, we are not to be anxious for these things but as it is written to seek first ye the kingdom and it will be added to you. But seek ye first his kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Matthew 6:33.
So that is a look into the verse, Matthew 6:33. Tomorrow we will look at the differences between the two verses and such. Have a blessed day!!!

Enjoy and be encouraged!!!
Luke 12:29-33

Yesterday we finished the holiday and Christmas series and I wanted to get back to the idea of, seek ye first the Kingdom. Yet seek ye his kingdom, and these things shall be added unto you. Luke 12:31. But seek ye first his kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Matthew 6:33. Both these verses will be the bread and butter of our series. We are to seek the kingdom and like how Matthew goes a little further saying we are to first see the kingdom, meaning everything else second and we are to put the kingdom first.
Before we go further in this series, I want to put this verse in context to the author, where it is in the bible, and what is going on at the time this verse is said in the bible. So, let's start with Luke.
Luke is the third gospel of the bible and contains 24 chapters. Luke was a doctor and is considered the only gentile who wrote in the New Testament. Luke, the beloved physician, and Demas salute you. Colossians 4:14. Why is Luke not considered a Jew but a gentile? because he was not circumcised so he was considered a gentile. according to many the book of Luke has been called the most beautiful book ever written.
Now, where does the verse come into view in the Bible and that is in Luke chapter 12. This verse comes under the heading Covetousness Denounced. this talking about greed and how we are to guard ourselves against it. And he said unto them, Take heed, and keep yourselves from all covetousness: [a]for a man’s life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth. Luke 12:15. It goes on to say that the father knows all that we need, and we should not seek the things that the world is seeking like food and water, life is more than those things so don't be anxious about these things. And he said unto his disciples, Therefore I say unto you, Be not anxious for your life, what ye shall eat; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Luke 22. For all these things do the nations of the world seek after: but your Father knoweth that ye have need of these things. Luke 12:30.
From what I read, and for the sake of this message I am going only by what the Bible says and not using any other resource or book. It starts in Chapter 11 where Jesus is praying in a certain place and that place is not known but it goes on later to say that the pharisees asked him to have lunch and he went in to eat with them. Now as he spake, a Pharisee asketh him to dine with him: and he went in, and sat down to meat. Luke11. Then He left there and many thousands gathered together. In the mean time, when [a]the many thousands of the multitude were gathered together, insomuch that they trod one upon another, he began to say unto his disciples first of all, Beware ye of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy. Luke 12:1. Where this verse takes somewhere in the city near the pharisees where He had lunch which it looks like from what it says in the Bible. nowhere does it say that he went anywhere or to another city so it seems to be that He was close to where He went out of that lunch, He had with the pharisees.
So that is Luke 12:31 put into context for the beginning of this series we will look at Matthew and see what is the same and what is different in the comparison of the two books and where the Bible verse is. We may know more about where this took place as well, we will see tomorrow.... Have a blessed day!!!!

Glory to God in the highest,
And on earth peace among men in whom he is well pleased. Luke 2:14To outreach to people on Halloween. So, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were making His appeal through us; we [as Christ’s representatives] plead with you on behalf of Christ to be reconciled to God. II Corinthians 5:20. We are to first seek ye his kingdom and then to give thanks for what God has done for us. Yet seek ye his kingdom, and these things shall be added unto you. Luke 12:31. Finally we are to celebrate the birth of Jesus and all that goes along with the birth. Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, And they shall call his name Immanuel; Matthew 1:23.
For each of these holidays and Christmas, we look at the History and the origin. Halloween started and then we moved on to thanksgiving and how it got started then we finished with Christmas and the Birth of Jesus.
For each of these, we looked at the biblical significance of each one of these holidays and Christmas. for Halloween, there was no biblical significance but to outreach to people. And the scribes of the Pharisees, when they saw that he was eating with the sinners and publicans, said unto his disciples, How is it that he eateth and drinketh with publicans and sinners? Mark 2:16. we are to outreach to the same people Jesu ministered to and tried to help. we then looked at the biblical significance of Thanksgiving. it is dripping with biblical significance. I will praise the name of God with a song, And will magnify him with thanksgiving. Psalm 69:30. we then looked at Christmas and it is all about the birth of Christ which is in the bible several times and referred to just as much throughout the bible. for there is born to you this day in the city of David a Saviour, who is Christ the Lord. Luke 2:11.
We then look at ways to reach people on Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. I gave three outreach ideas for each holiday and Christmas. From creating parties to bringing people to church or serving people in need no matter what you do outreach on all these holidays and Christmas is required.
To sum it all up as this series come to end is to look at each holiday and Christmas with a new lens, a new light, in a new way. Dust off what you know about each holiday and Christmas and come with fresh eyes. For each holiday and Christmas find (new) ways to outreach to people. Don't overlook Halloween if you are a Christian use, it to bring people to Christ. Have a blessed day!!!

22 Jesus spoke to them again in parables, saying, 2 “The kingdom of heaven may be compared to a king who gave a wedding feast for his son. 3 And he sent his servants to call those who had [previously] been invited to the wedding feast, but they refused to come. 4 Then he sent out some other servants, saying, ‘Tell those who have been invited, “Look, I have prepared my dinner; my oxen and fattened calves are butchered and everything is ready; come to the wedding feast.”’ 5 But they paid no attention [they disregarded the invitation, treating it with contempt] and went away, one to his farm, another to his business. 6 The rest [of the invited guests] seized his servants and mistreated them [insulting and humiliating them] and killed them. 7 The king was enraged [when he heard this], and sent his soldiers and destroyed those murderers and burned their city. 8 Then he said to his servants, ‘The wedding [feast] is ready, but those who were invited were not worthy. 9 So go to the main highways that lead out of the city, and invite to the wedding feast as many as you find.’ 10 Those servants went out into the streets and gathered together all the people they could find, both bad and good; so the wedding hall was filled with dinner guests [sitting at the banquet table]. 11 “But when the king came in to see the dinner guests, he saw a man there who was not dressed [appropriately] in wedding clothes, 12 and he said, ‘Friend, how did you come in here without wearing the wedding clothes [that were provided for you]?’ And the man was speechless and without excuse. 13 Then the king said to the attendants, ‘Tie him hand and foot, and throw him into the darkness outside; in that place there will be weeping [over sorrow and pain] and grinding of teeth [over distress and anger].’ 14 For many are called (invited, summoned), but few are chosen.” Matthew 22:1-14
