Social Jesus

Today I shift to the final piece of this series and that is social Jesus. So. far during this series we have talked about cellphones and Jesus and then moved on to media and Jesus. I once had a Facebook account and friended so many people and it look like a bunch of people who I didn't know. So, deleted that account and created a new one but I eventually got rid of that one too. I had an Instagram account and got rid of that too even Snapchat and got rid of that. Why did I do this? because the accounts on Facebook looked like something that wasn't me and the others just had too much I didn't want to see.

There is so much negative things and unholy stuff in those sites that I had had enough. There are a lot of good things on social media, but it wasn't enough for me. we can see that lift people up and we can see just as much stuff that brings people down on social media.  Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear. Ephesians 4:29. What if all the hate on those sites were to be drowned out by all the love of Christ that those hateful things would just disappear. Just like the verse, we are to have no corrupt talk come out of our mouths, but it so often does.

Making the best use of the time, because the days are evil. Ephesians 5:16. We need to be mindful of the time we spend on social media and what is the purpose of being on social media. Are you being on social media for unholy things or for holy things? This can dictate if we are moving closer to Jesus or farther away from Jesus. To mention here if we are looking and seeing the negative stuff we are moving farther from Jesus. So, when you are on social media are you seeking the things of Christ and moving towards his will.

Jesus, I praise you and thank you for your glory and will to be done on our social media accounts

Help and guide us to seek the things on social media which is holy and pure in your sight

Protect us from the evil and negative that is on social media 

You are the Alpha and the Omega 

the beginning and the end
