We have been talking about our eyes and the movies we see. This idea doesn't just apply to movies. this can be applied to the TV we watch and the music we listen to.
22 “The eye is the lamp of the body. So, if your eye is healthy, your whole body will be full of light, Matthew 6:22 ESV
What kind of TV we watch and the music we listen to has the same impact as the kind of movies we watch. A TV show is just a shorter movie with a longer storyline. A song is just a movie with words and is still the eyes when you add the music video to the mix.
Our eyes are important to protect for that which we see will be what we think about and what is in our hearts. We need to seek the things that are from heaven not of the flesh because the flesh is never satisfied.
1 Therefore, if you have been raised with Christ, keep seeking the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Colossians 3:1 NASB
15 Do not love the world or the things in the world (Flesh). If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 1 John 2:15 NASB
We need to back to something we have talked about and that is we need to renewed mind, so we seek the things of God.
2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.
12 Therefore I urge you, brothers and sisters, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship. Romans 12:2,1 AMP
So, the Bible answers this for us as to what we are to do with all that we are not to watch or see or listen to.
