How to Glorify God When You Have Emotion? Today's emotion is bitterness. All bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and slander must be removed from you, along with all malice. Ephesians 4:31, So to start off with as we look at this verse, we are not to have bitterness. But with everything we do get bitter sometimes just like anger and sadness. 

So how do Glorify God when we have bitterness? See to it that no one comes short of the grace of God; that no root of bitterness springing up causes trouble, and by it many become defiled;. Hebrews 14:15. This verse tells us that the roots of bitterness are not to spring up less they cause trouble. We are not to let bitterness create roots in our lives because it will cause problems in our lives. Bitterness leads to other things that are not healthy. I will be bold here and say that bitterness keeps us from glorifying Jesus, the blessings of Jesus, and the work Jesus wants to do in our lives. when we have negative emotions such as this one, we are not living the life Jesus wants us to live but a life that is of the devil.

The devil wants us to stay in emotions like this because he works well in these kinds of emotions. The devil feeds off negative emotions. This emotion is negative. We get bitter in our lives as I said. we get bitter because of something that happened like a divorce, someone did you wrong or you didn't get a promotion. Whatever it may be, you may by man's standard have a right to be bitter but that leads to the devil coming in and taking over. 

Just like the verse psalms 30:5 which I used yesterday about sadness, Sadness may come for a night, but Joy comes in the morning. In my spirit, I believe this can be applied to bitterness or an unholy emotion. But we are not to let the roots of unholy emotions take root in our lives. I keep saying this but we still have them.

So, what do we do to get rid of the bitterness which is one of the negative emotions we are not to have? The answer is to get up off the couch or where you are sitting and say with a loud voice bitterness, you do not have roots in my life, and tell the roots of bitterness to flee in Jesus' Name. Run if you have to, away from that bitterness and paise Jesus. As I always say praying is a good thing as well.

So, to wrap up today to recap we are not to have bitterness in our lives, we are not to let bitterness get roots in our lives because it will cause problems like the devil coming in and taking over. when we have bitterness, we are to cry out and not let bitterness take hold of our lives and pray and worship Jesus.

To answer how are we to Glorify Jesus when we have bitterness, which I asked earlier in the message and never really gave an answer for is to get rid of it any way you can and worship Jesus. let that sink in that is why I left it for last.
