How to Glorify God When You Have Emotion? We have been talking about emotions and how to glorify God when we have them. I keep getting this sense the last few days that I needed to talk about fear. So today we will be talking you guessed it fear. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go. Joshua 1:9

When talking about fear we have everything from getting drunk and fearing the Lord to not being afraid for God is with you. I believe there are many types of fear talked about in the Bible, from not fearing anything to being a God-fearing person. for example, The verse talks about us to not have fear but knowing the Lord is with you. Another example is Hebrews 13:6, That is why we can say without any doubt or fear, 'The Lord is my Helper and I am not afraid of anything that mere man can do to me. Yet another example is Proverbs 1:7, The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge; Fools despise wisdom and instruction.

the two I will be talking concentrating on are fearing things and being a God-fearing Christian.

Let's talk about the first one, fearing things, it is the negative side of this emotion.  God says we are not to fear anything and that is mentioned many times in the bible. for example, Luke 12:32 says, Do not fear, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom". We are not fear just as the verse says for instead of us fearing about stuff, He will give us the kingdom. why do we fear governments or rulers or things of this earth? If God is on our side we should not fear anything of those things. it says in Deuteronomy 7:21 No, do not be afraid of those nations, for the Lord your God is among you, and He is a great and awesome God." Yet we still fear these things. The devil wants us to have this kind of fear it keeps us From Glorifying God. The devil loves to keep you in fear because as I said in the last sentence Glorifying God. the devil is real and will use everything he can to keep us apart from God.

What do we do when this type of fear comes and is in us? We are to call it out and give it to God. we need not fear like this because God is with us. Pray and get rid of that negative emotion and not take it back but truly give it to God and let him fight the battle for you.

Remember negative emotions come in the night but Joy comes in the morning. Fear nothing because God is with you every Godday. Tell the devil fear has no hold on you and that God is with you and is fighting the battle for you.
