Christmas Outreach: Love Outreach Ideas...

Yesterday we talked about love and loving others. The second is this, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these. Mark 12:31. We are commanded by God to love our neighbors and others. Another verse puts it this that we are to others as we have loved God. So, I left with the question but how do we show this love this Christmas season?

To start off with there is so much hate that is in the world. So, bring love wherever you go. if some cuts you off in line at the store. show them love than hate or anything else. just love them. It is so easy to get caught up in the things of this world like hate or other things. But before you go out Prayer for God to put and a coat of love for you to share with the world. Let your love shine wherever you go and be the love of Jesus for everyone you come in contact with. Love ye therefore the sojourner; for ye were sojourners in the land of Egypt. Deuteronomy 10:19. So, show your love this Christmas just like the verse says.

The second way to show love this Christmas is to show love to the sinners. If you have been in the faith for any length of time you have probably heard love the sinner hate the sinner. And if ye love them that love you, what thank have ye? for even sinners love those that love them. Luke 6:32. we are to love these people who are sinners not for the sin that they commit but for them as people who are sinners. The kind of sin does not matter as much as the love we show them that they are sinners. Put another way we are not to choose which sins are greater than others and which people who do these sins that we love only certain ones because of sins. We are to love all sinners just like Jesus did. Jesus ate with tax collectors and such not with e religious leaders. Jesus came not to love on the righteous but on the unrighteous. So, we need to be like Jesus and love the sinners this Christmas not the sin.

The third is to love all your family no matter what they are like or do. We all have that uncle or aunt or family member, we do not like because of what they do or have done to us or another family member, but we are to love them no matter what. Because they are family first off and then because God commanded us to.  And this commandment have we from him, that he who loveth God love his brother also. 1 John 4:21. You can say any family member where it says, brother and it means the same thing, that we are to love on our family members. The verse talks about brother as a brother in Christ most likely but for today I am using it literally as brother like family but when we are in Christ everyone who is of faith is our brother. So, either way for this message we are covered.  So show love to all your family this Christmas and yes I mean all.

These are three ways to love people this Christmas. So, show love like Jesus showed love to all people you encounter this Christmas. Have a blessed day!!!!
