Grace from God!!!

Did Paul deserve this grace we have been talking about? if you have read what I wrote thus far you would say no just like I would. But if you have read your Bible at any length, you know that God does not use the perfect or high priest or the one set aside in holiness, He uses people who are screwed up, people who are not perfect, people who are drunks, and people who are not who anyone you would think God would pick. Was Paul anything of the things I mentioned above, yes, he was someone you never thought would be picked by God for what he did.? But by grace, God granted him a new life.

On a road to Damascus, Paul had an encounter that would change his life. Jesus met him on that Road. 3 As he journeyed he came near Damascus, and suddenly a light shone around him from heaven. Paul stopped and knelt to the ground and a voice came forth. 4 Then he fell to the ground, and heard a voice saying to him, “Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me?” then Paul not knowing who he was talking to asked and the Voice from the sky answered him.  5 And he said, “Who are You, Lord?” Then the Lord said, “I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting. It is hard for you to kick against the goads.” Then Jesus gave Paul a command. So he, trembling and astonished, said, “Lord, what do You want me to do?” Then the Lord said to him, “Arise and go into the city, and you will be told what you must do.” It goes on to say that he went on to Damascus not by his hand but by God's hand. Then Saul arose from the ground, and when his eyes were opened he saw no one. But they led him by the hand and brought him into Damascus. 9 And he was three days without sight, and neither ate nor drank.  Paul was anointed and was baptized by Ananias. 17 And Ananias went his way and entered the house; and laying his hands on him he said, “Brother Saul, the Lord [d]Jesus, who appeared to you on the road as you came, has sent me that you may receive your sight and be filled with the Holy Spirit.” 18 Immediately there fell from his eyes something like scales, and he received his sight at once; and he arose and was baptized. (The Bible verses are from acts chapter 9).

This man of Great destruction and of sin and persecution Was saved by God, set apart in Jesus. he had grace given to him and gave to others grace.

This is good stuff let's not rush through it and let you meditate on what you have read today so far. I'm getting a sense that this is turning from just about grace but to about Paul and his conversion and what we can learn from it and do we deserve the same as Paul did.I will always let the spirit lead me in my writing of this blog and it seems like my direction has changed.

All Bible verses taken from the NKJV
