Nailed to the Cross...

having canceled the certificate of debt consisting of decrees against us, which was hostile to us; and He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross. Colossians 2:14. What do you need to nail to the cross today, what do you need to crucify so that you may Glorify Jesus?  so that with one purpose and one voice you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Romans 15:6. How can we glorify Jesus if we have things we need to give up and nail to the cross. So again, I ask you what do you need to nail to the cross. it can be anything from a ring or a poster, a title or unholy watching, or drinking, drugs, or anything you can think of that you need to get rid of.

God was crucified on a cross with nails in his hands so that our sins would be forgiven, and our slates wiped clean.  They took Jesus, therefore, and He went out, carrying His own cross, to the place called the Place of a Skull, which in Hebrew is called, Golgotha. John 19:17. God loved us so much that he led His own son to die for our sins. Don't you think that because of that he deserves all we have and our all worship to be given to Him?

So whatever you need to nail it to the cross, do so today it can be a burden lifted off your shoulders.  Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. Matthew 11:29. He wants us to come to him and to help take our burden and we hook up to His yoke so we will be comfortable and will learn from Him and will find rest.

So, how do you do this, not everyone in their Livingroom has a giant wooden cross? Get a piece of paper and draw a cross on it then as you do that pray for the cross you draw (it doesn't have to be fancy). then after you have drawn the cross call close friends and tell them what you are about to do and pray with them and tell them the thing you are going to nail to the cross. you can use a nail, or a pushpin works as well, it doesn't have to be accurate, it is mostly as an act of doing it that is most important. if you have more than one thing to nail do the same for the others. After you have nailed it to the cross on the paper pray again for it and then hang it up somewhere so that it can stand as a reminder of what you did. it will not be effective or have meaning if you do not do the most important part and that is to share it with close friends or people you trust.

I have said this before, this is the most important thing and that is once you have given it to God (Nailed it to the cross) do not take it back. pray without ceasing1 Thessalonians 5:17. just keep praying and God will do the rest. Have a Blessed day!!!!
