The Whole of God...

yet for us there is only one God, the Father, from whom are all things, and we exist for Him; and one Lord, Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we exist through Him. 1 Corinthians 8:6. We have but one God and that God is Jesus Christ. There are many facets of Him, but he is one. you read about a God in the Old Testament who came down in clouds and flooded the earth and created kings in Israel, then you see a God in the New Testament who came in flesh to save us from our sins and preach the new around the world.  The God of the bible is all one God, He created all things and in Him, all things exist.

I had a picture in my room at one time now it's in my current home in the living room that lists the names of God, Names like the vine, the holy one, the door, the bread of life, and many more. He is those things and more but in one form, He is whole not a parted God.

if you read in History the Greeks and other nations had God's plural, not just one.  Asclepius the god of healing, Aeolus the god of wind and air, and Ares the god of war. We have a God who is the same, but He is just one God. They prayed and worshiped each God with different rituals and sacrifices. they had acts for each god. You shall not make other gods besides Me; gods of silver or gods of gold, you shall not make for yourselves. Exodus 20:23

but I sit here before you that there is only one God, and his name is Jesus Christ. He is a God with Many facets but is whole. The Greeks had Zeus the great and mighty, but we have one God mightier than any other God and He is one and in wholeness that we should seek and worship Him.

We often think that God is in part, that each part makes up the whole, but I am here to tell you that God is one and whole, not parts that make up something. We don't have to waste our time worshipping a god for each thing and take time to sacrifice to each god for the thing that we need or are seeking. We have one God and to worship and sacrifice only to him. God in whole was there before anything was created, he was and is the great I am. And God said to Moses, "AM WHO I AM”; and He said, “This is what you shall say to the sons of Israel: ‘I AM has sent me to you." Exodus 3:14. The verses does not say that He is the I am's but he is the I am. He is one in wholeness.

I'm feeling led in the spirit to leave it there for today so the last verse and words to sink in.

All Bible verses taken from the NASB
