How to Glorify God When You Have Emotion?

Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you will abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13. How to Glorify God When You Have Emotion? Today's emotion is joy. God wants us to be joyous if he didn't why would he want to fill us with joy. We are to have abundant joy in Jesus Christ.

Jesus wants us to be joyous in all that we do, not in sadness or another emotion. we are to have so much that it runneth over. but why is so hard to be joyous all the time. That is simple we are not living according to God's word, if we were we would be joyous all the time. Yes, I said it (I do not sugar coat things in this blog, I will be blunt and bold in what I say because it comes from God I believe in my spirits). we do not have the things of God like being joyous all the time because we are living in accord with what God has commanded us to do. I say that in a different way than I did above to let that sink in. we are not joyous but anything God has done but what we have done. 

We are not to have negative emotions but positive emotions. God wants to have positive emotions, but it is us who usually muck it up and end in negative emotions. the emotions we are to have that are from God are talked about in Galatians 5:22-23, which says, But when the Holy Spirit controls our lives He will produce this kind of fruit in us: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. It talks about fruit here but these are positive emotions at its core. 

Today was just supposed to be about joy but with all things, Jesus changed my direction. Usually, What God wants to have are these things that are from him. Those other emotions are from the devil and are not holy. God wants good for us, not negativity.  So as I have said how are we to worship if we have a negative emotion? We are to worship and pray to God for help. I will further this and say we are to pray that we align with what God wants and has commanded us to do. When we are out of sync with God we are not in his will and not in the spirit.
