Gift # 4 Wisdom!

The fourth gift God gives us is wisdom.

 5 But if any of you lacketh wisdom, let him ask of God, who giveth to all liberally and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. James 1:5 ASV

God will give us wisdom all we have to do is ask for it.

The kind of wisdom that we are talking about is heavenly wisdom or put another way divine wisdom.

This means that this kind of wisdom can only come from God not from earth or man.

17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, easy to be entreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without variance, without hypocrisy. James 3:17 ASV

Wisdom is one of the biggest things discussed in the Bible, so it must be important other than love.

So, with that let's look at more verses about wisdom and God wanting this for us.

2 My son, if thou wilt receive my words,
And lay up my commandments with thee;
2 2 So as to incline thine ear unto wisdom,
And apply thy heart to understanding;
3 3Yea, if thou cry after discernment,
And lift up thy voice for understanding;
4 4 If thou seek her as silver,
And search for her as for hid treasures:
5 5 Then shalt thou understand the fear of Jehovah,
And find the knowledge of God.
6 6 For Jehovah giveth wisdom;
Out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding:
7 7 He layeth up sound wisdom for the upright;
He is a shield to them that walk in integrity; Proverbs 2:1-7 ASV

7 But to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit to profit withal. 8 For to one is given through the Spirit the word of wisdom; and to another the word of knowledge, according to the same Spirit: 1 Corinthians 12:7-8 ASV

12 So teach us to number our days,
That we may get us a heart of wisdom. Psalm 90:12 ASV

Accept and praise God for wisdom today as the gift that is freely given to you for Tomorrow, we look at the fifth gift from God.
