The second gift God gives us is peace.
God loves to give us peace.
The kind of peace I am talking about is not of this world, not the '60s kind of peace or worldly peace but one that is only from God.
Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. John 14:27 ESV
This is Jesus talking about giving the disciples peace meaning this is a gift from God and this gift is for us as well if we are/ and call ourselves His disciples.
From what I read about this verse, this is Jesus giving this for His upcoming death, God still gives this to us today in the same manner. But not about his death because we know that He has risen.
The kind of peace that is talked about here is given to you and will remain with you forever. It will be with you no matter what happens. this kind of peace is inner and can be calming in your heart no matter what comes your way. It is the same no matter the circumstance.
This same kind of peace we are talking about is found in Philippians 4:7 ASV.
7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.

Accept and praise God for peace today as the gift that is freely given to you for Tomorrow, we look at the third gift from God.
