Eyes, See, Watch...

I recently started looking for and watching...

I will not set before my eyes anything that is worthless. I hate the work of those who fall away; it shall not cling to me. Psalm 101:3 ESV

“The eye is the lamp of the body. So, if your eye is healthy, your whole body will be full of light, Matthew 6:22. ESV

What we see and watch in _____ matters. God does not judge by appearance but by the heart.

But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look on his appearance or on the height of his stature, because I have rejected him. For the Lord sees not as man sees: man looks on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart.” 1 Samual 16:7 ESV

So, what is in our hearts and what we desire is what we will watch in ______.

What am I talking about?

I am talking about movies; I started watching Christian movies/films.

A movie can be upwards of 2 hours or more sometimes. Why not make it worth something that deserves 2 hours instead of a lot of the filth and dumb stuff they put in our faces.

Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth. Colossians 3:2 ESV

If the best movie they can come up with is Cocaine Bear, then why even watch movies anymore.

If they meaning Hollywood thinks that this is a good movie to put out, then we should be ashamed and take a look at our culture and ourselves. Hollywood is about making money, so I looked up how much money this movie made. the movie made 89,301,183, it may not be the highest-grossing film, but it still made millions.

If is that where we are headed as culture in movies, then I want no part of it. I rather watch the sometimes low-budget movies that are Christian and delight in those films.

When we put on the new self we need to seek the things from above, including the movies we watch.

Therefore, if you have been raised with Christ, keep seeking the thingthat are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Colossians 3:1 NASB
