Fully Given....

 Have you fully given yourself to God? 

Maybe you worship, go to church, and read your Bible. you can quote verses and know what is right. But you still haven't fully given yourself to God. You hold on to something that you need to let go. You don't fully let God work or lead. 

It is not easy to fully surrender to God, right?

That is a tricky question to answer. To say the words, may be easy but to live it out may be another thing altogether. You can say the words a thousand times and it still does not work or do anything. Saying the words are not enough. If take it back or do not follow what you said it means nothing. Maybe you want to or have tried but it still hasn't happened.

I am sorry to say I do not have an answer but to keep drawing near to God. Which I guess could be the answer, mostly it is a direction to stay on rather than an answer.

For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it. Matthew 16:25 ESV

And he said to all, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me. Luke 19:23 ESV

6 But He gives a greater grace. Therefore it says, “God is opposed to the proud, but gives grace to the humble.” James 4:6 NASB

We have to lose something to fully give ourselves to God, to fully surrender to God. What we have to lose is different for each of us. One person might need to give up booze or cigars/cigarettes. Another might need to give up drugs. Yet another might need to self-pleasure. Even another might need to give up thoughts and thinking. Whatever you need to lose today take time and see what that is and offer it up to God.

7 Submit therefore to God.  but resist the devil and he will flee from you. James 4:7 NASB

Submit it to God so, the devil cannot use it against you anymore! So that you will be fully surrounded to God and fully given to God!!!!!

Dear God show me what I need to lose today

God once you have shown me, help me to fully offer it up to you

Be with me in the offering up of things I need to lose

I declare and proclaim victory in this area I need to lose

I pray for protection around this area so that devil and evil can no longer have a hold on me on this are I need to lose

but I am free from this area that I need to lose
