Being a Christian in a 24/7 world: Prayer 2...

When I pray My God:

Brings down walls

By faith the walls of Jericho fell down after they had been encircled for seven days. Hebrews 11:30 ESV

Heals the sick

And Jesus went throughout all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom and healing every disease and every affliction. Matthew 9:35 ESV

Saves the captives

25 Consequently, he is able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through him, since he always lives to make intercession for them. Hebrews 7:25 ESV

Brings home the lost

And when he comes home, he calls together his friends and his neighbors, saying to them, ‘Rejoice with me, because I have found my sheep that was lost!’ I tell you that in the same way, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous people who have no need of repentance. Luke 15:6-7 NASB

Has victory for satan and the enemy

For the Lord your God is he who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies, to give you the victory.’ Deuteronomy 20:4

Has the power to do the impossible

For nothing will be impossible with God.” Luke 1:37

Pray has the power to do all things, we just need to pray every day and all the time!!!

Pray without ceasing, 1 Thessalonians 5:17 ESV

Be persistent and devoted to prayer, being alert and focused in your prayer life with an attitude of thanksgiving. Colossians 4:2

Pray doesn't have to be fancy as pastors or scholars do, it can be as simple as Thank you God or I need help God or May I have victory. in that area you need. Anyone can pray at any time. Prayer is for everyone, and anyone can do it. Anyone who tells you differently is lying to you and is not of God but of evil.

Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. 1 Peter 5:8 ESV

I leave you with this verse that says this is the will of God for us to pray. it does not say scholars, pastors or priests or smart people, or men of riches and power it just says us.

16 Rejoice always and delight in your faith; 17 be unceasing and persistent in prayer; 18 in every situation [no matter what the circumstances] be thankful and continually give thanks to God; for this is the will of God for you in Christ Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 5: 16-18 AMP
