I read the book Jesus Freaks by DC Talk and one story stood out to me that a mother/daughter was in prison. the only way to leave was to denounce God but the woman refused as she heard her daughter cry every night. One time she was asked and let go, her daughter asked why did you do that Mommy and she said you kept crying so I denounced God for you. The child said I won't cry anymore, and the lady recanted her statement and was put back in prison. I recant (paraphrased) this story because it shows two things' children are smarter than we think, and it isn't always going to be easy to be to stand for Jesus.
But if a little girl can say that to her mom and stand for Jesus. What is our excuse for not doing the same and we are adults and understand more than her. I think in that instance that girl knew more than any adult could.
3 And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 18:3 KJV.
We need to become like Children to have the right kind of faith. when you hear your child say Jesus and amen for the first time it melts your heart or when your child runs up and says to you, I love Jesus, can I tell you about him and they are all happy and glowing.
9 Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake. Matthew 24:9 KJV.
This verse is going to happen to us just like it did to the disciples if we chose to stand for Jesus. But when things come like this look towards a child and do as it says in John 16:33, These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. Children get faith right, why can't we?
They will share Jesus without thinking, pray and not think about offending someone, sing, and don't care who hears it. Let us act as Children today! As the saying goes child at heart. Let that ring out today and be as bold as Children today!!!!
If Kids can stand for Jesus none of that other stuff about being hard and such matters, it just falls off because we need the same kind of faith.
17 Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child shall in no wise enter therein. Luke 18:17 KJV
