Examine and test and evaluate your own selves to see whether you are holding to your faith and showing the proper fruits of it. Test and prove yourselves [not Christ]. Do you not yourselves realize and know [thoroughly by an ever-increasing experience] that Jesus Christ is in you—unless you are [counterfeits] disapproved on trial and rejected? 2 Corinthians 13:5
Before I start the series called Cell Phone Jesus tomorrow, I wanted to set some framework . This series is not to make you feel bad or to say that you are a bad person for having certain apps on your phone. This series is not to bash cell phones and the negative impact they can have. This series is not just about cell phone apps but about the way we see and seek Jesus in a Cell phone world. This series is to change the atmosphere of how look and seek Jesus in a cell phone world. To start off with we will look at the negative impact our cell phones have on us that leads us further from God. We then look at how we change the way we use our cell phones to bring us closer to God, seeing where God is in our cell phones. If we were to look at your phone by opening it, would we know that you are a follower of Christ or would we see that you are of the world? To finish up the series we will look at how we can use our cell phones to proclaim the good news to the world.
Our cell phones can be used for good or for evil. but I am here to tell you that which the devil can use God can use even more. Let's take back all the evil and negative things which can fill up our phones and fill our phones with things that bring us closer to worship and seek God.
Just like I talked about yesterday doing an app evaluation, We need to do that all the time not just on our phones but in our lives. this series will shift from cell phones to Media Jesus. in the shift when that comes we talk about TV and seeking Jesus. throughout this series, we will be talking about social media. But after TV, we will devote time just for social media, and from there no clue yet, I will keep the series going as long as I feel God has led me to.
