Personally, I have been listening to a lot of hymns as of late. Im always looking and discovering new music. God loves our worship to him. Singing songs to him is written all through the bible. It talks about going worth and shouting with lyre and pipes. But the type of music we listen too matters. Don’t get me wrong I like to listen to the Boss or the Doors or even Aerosmith sometimes but if that music is more prevalent than Christian music, is that doing you any good? Fow what you put in is what will come out of your mouth (body). If the music you listen has a lot of swear words do you think you will not swear more too. If the music is angry, don’t you think you may become angry too. There are certain songs I don’t listen to anymore because of their lyrics and their effect that it could have on me. So, as I said what music do you listen too? if the majority of what you listen is non-Christian music maybe it’s a time for a change. I listen to no-Christian and some of those songs encourage me and help me more than Christian music. That is why I’m always looking and discovering new Christian music. You may feel that a non-Christian song is helping you more than a Christian song and that may be true. But that is just a band aid only God Music can truly help you (only God can help you). God wants us to worship him and to sing praises to him not to some worldly thing. So, review what you listen to and make some changes if you need to. There are many types of Christian music to listen to and none of them are bad. So, change your listening habits and it will change your life.
