A Party for God: Feast of Trumpets Explained/Where Jesus...

The Feast of Trumpets also called Rosh Hashanah is the new year for the Jews- think New Year's for us.

This festival is the start of the civil year for the Jews.

This festival is celebrated for ten days starting with High Holy Days and the ten days of repentance.

This festival is about forgiveness, repentance, and reminding themselves of God's judgment.

It also is a time of celebration to be joyous about the coming year and what Goodness and mercy God has for them.

During this time a ram's horn called the shofar is blown for people to repent of their sins those who are God's people.

During the service they have the horn blown 100 notes (time).

Jews of the day would have partaken in a ceremony called Tashlich which is when they cast off their sins. They would go into a flowing body of water and say a prayer.

They would eat meals like challah bread which is round and apple slices dipped in honey.

This was to signify God's sweetness of the coming year and for the provision of God.

This festival is known as the Day of Judgment

30 And then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of the sky with power and great glory. 31 And He will send forth His angels with a great trumpet blast, and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of the sky to the other. Matthew 24:30-31

26 For just as the Father has life in Himself, so He gave to the Son also to have life in Himself; 27 and He gave Him authority to execute judgment, because He is [a]the Son of Man. 28 Do not be amazed at this; for a time is coming when all who are in the tombs will hear His voice, 29 and will come out: those who did the good deeds to a resurrection of life, those who committed the bad deeds to a resurrection of judgment. John 5:26-29

Did Jesus partake of the festival?

Nowhere in the Bible does it say He did but by these verses above it leads us to believe that He did.
