Jeremiah 29:11: To Give You a Future...

 11 For I know the plans that I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans for prosperity and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. Jeremiah 29:11 NASB

To give you a future:

God wants to give us a future but what does that mean? Let's look at the Bible.

Observe the blameless person, and look at the upright; For the person of peace will have a future. Proverbs 37:37 NASB

If we are blameless and upright that person will be a person of peace and will have a future.

For there will be no future for the evil person; The lamp of the wicked will be put out. Proverbs 24:20 NASB

There is no future for the wicked or evil.

The contrast to these verses is if we are in God, we will have a future; if we are not with God we are in sin and will not have a future.

God wants to bless us, God wants us to have abundant life, God wants us to have glory, love, and help, and God wants it all for us. That is the future God has for us and wants for us.

The devil does not want us to have this kind of future, he wants us to have a future of disaster, misery, unhappiness, and pain, and us not seeking God and leading us away from Christ with thoughts, actions, and what we read and listen to and see.

We have two kinds of futures:

One of God

or

One of the devil

Which will you choose?

Dear God, I declare and proclaim a future in You

I pray that You help us achieve this kind of future

I pray that the devil and all evil cannot touch us as we try to achieve this kind of future

I Pray Jesus over Our futures in You Lord

I praise You and thank You for our futures in You Lord
