Cleaning House!!!

When was the last time you cleaned house? Did you do a deep clean or just a quick clean? Did you get rid of or take anything away? What do you do to keep it clean once you cleaned the house?

Let's look at the Bible:

15 And they come to Jerusalem: and he entered into the temple, and began to cast out them that sold and them that bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the money-changers, and the seats of them that sold the doves; 16 and he would not suffer that any man should carry a vessel through the temple. 17 And he taught, and said unto them, Is it not written, My house shall be called a house of prayer for all the nations? but ye have made it a den of robbers. Mark 11:15-17 ASV

13 And the passover of the Jews was at hand, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem. 14 And he found in the temple those that sold oxen and sheep and doves, and the changers of money sitting: 15 and he made a scourge of cords, and cast all out of the temple, both the sheep and the oxen; and he poured out the changers’ money, and overthrew their tables; 16 and to them that sold the doves he said, Take these things hence; make not my Father’s house a house of merchandise. 17 His disciples remembered that it was written, Zeal for thy house shall eat me up. John 2:13-17 ASV

Above are two accounts of Jesus going into His house and cleaning it.

Sometimes we need to do the same in our Christian faith. We need to clean our house this means our spiritual, and physical body, and the house (physical) too. 

We need to take time to see the areas where we might not be right with God?

Some examples of this:

Our minds

Our love life

judgment

shame/guilt

loving others

Loving ourselves

How we drive

How we view others 

Our flesh

We need to take time to see if there are places that we need to clean better meaning to work on so we can have a clean house (life) before God?

What we do alone 

Anxiety

Our flesh

Tithing 

What do we need to rid of so we can focus on God rather than be led away from Christ?

Judging others

The way we drive home

News

Dear God, I pray that you help us to clean house

I pray that You show us the areas we need to clean so we can be clean before you

God, I proclaim and declare that we will be victorious in this

I pray protection surrounding this house cleaning 

I pray the devil will not have a stronghold in this and that God will be able to show you the places you need cleaning

May you be glorified by this God

I pray we grow deeper because of doing this
