Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me. Revelations 3:20. So today we talk about what the Bible says about wanting a relationship with us. if we start off with the verse above, He is standing at the door and knocking waiting for us to open the door to have a relationship with us. in 1 John verse 3, it says, that which we have seen and heard we proclaim also to you, so that you too may have fellowship with us; and indeed our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son Jesus Christ. They have fellowship with God, and they have a relationship With Him.
The Lord your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing. Zephaniah 3:17. God is on our midst so if someone is in our midst they want to be there. I don't know about you but I don't want to be in the midst of people I don't like. In the rest of that same verse it talks about saving, rejoicing, quiet, exult over you. but the most important word in this verse is love. You don't have a relationship or want one if you do not love them, right?
But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8. again you don't put love or effort into a relationship you do not care about or want. So, if we look at this verse, He showed His love for us meaning He wants a relationship with us. “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16. And I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit I will put within you. And I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. Ezekiel 36:26. you have to put effort into a relationship and God does just that by the evidence of this verse above He gives a new heart. He died for us so we could have a relationship with Him.
But the greatest evidence of all that he wants a relationship with us is found in 3 of the Gospels. but we will use the verse in Matthew 27:51, And behold, the curtain of the temple was torn in two, from top to bottom. And the earth shook, and the rocks were split. The curtain of the temple was torn in two Just so we could have a relationship with Him what more proof do you need!!! The evidence goes further in this verse which says it was torn top to bottom meaning no man could have torn it came from God Himself meaning He put effort and wants to have a relationship with us.
The evidence is clear that Jesus wants a relationship with us. Do you want to accept the relationship God wants to have with you?

Have a blessed day!!!
