God walked across the heavens to become flesh so we can have a relationship with Him and to repent of our sins and turn to Him. Jesus was born not for the righteous but for the unrighteous. He came across the aisle to be our perfect example of how we are to live this out. These verses I shared these with you yesterday but want to share them again. each time Jesus spoke to the pharisees, He never just flat out gave them an answer because they could not handle it.
10 And it came to pass, as he sat at meat in the house, behold, many publicans and sinners came and sat down with Jesus and his disciples. 11 And when the Pharisees saw it, they said unto his disciples, Why eateth your Teacher with the publicans and sinners? 12 But when he heard it, he said, They that are whole have no need of a physician, but they that are sick. 13 But go ye and learn what this meaneth, I desire mercy, and not sacrifice: for I came not to call the righteous, but sinners. Jesus walked across to be with those who were sick meaning the people who were sinners, the unrighteous, and the wicked. Who needs a doctor when they are weIl, no one so Jesus can as I said and the verse says for the sick, He knew the pharisees could not understand this for they did not believe in Jesus for who He was. He came not for the most holy or most righteous but for the unrighteous, sinner, and the wicked. He walked across the aisle and bridged a gap between heaven and earth.
To go further Jesus did eat with pharisees but they did not get Him for who he was. Jesus tried to walk across for the pharisees to get it but they did not and never did from what I have read in the bible. 13 saying, Say ye, His disciples came by night, and stole him away while we slept. Even in the end after He was risen they were trying to cover it up and say that he was not risen but stolen.
I will leave it there for today and let that sink in that the pharisees never believed in Jesus for who he was even when he walked across the aisle to help and ministered to them and to save them.
All Bible to verses taken from the ASV
Have a blessed day!!!!
