Today as it is Mother's Day, we will take a look at Esther. As I have researched it is said that she did not have any kids. But she is a woman, and we use that as the basis for this look at this uncommon book of the Bible. How many times can you remember quoting Esther? For me, I can't remember a time I have quoted her passages but have read about it.
So let's look at who this woman of God was. She became the queen of Persia but that is not for certain as there have been no records to support this in Persian records. But the Bible tells us little about her personal life of this great woman of the bible. So we can only talk about what the Bible tells us. The Bible talks about how she became queen and save the people of Israel from being exterminated from the earth. she was brought up by her uncle/cousin Mordecai.
Her whole story is about her saving Israel from being killed off. but the bible is riddled with great women who save people or brought people into the world to save others. So today I think back to those women of the Bible and thank them for what they did so that we may have the Bible and our faith as we know it today.
Without Esther, we may never have had Mary, and then maybe no Jesus. So, all women and mothers of the Bible are connected and are to be looked at and acknowledged to lead us to the ultimate one which is Jesus.
Dear God, I pray for all mothers
that you would bless all mothers today
that you lift them up and keep them in your watch
protect them from the enemy
give them peace and comfort in knowing that they are loved by You
In Jesus Name
Amen
Happy Mother's Day to my Mom and all moms!!!!
