Today as we finish the series Seeing God in the Unlikely Places, we finish this series with sin. For most when we sin, we feel guilt or shame right? Indeed, that is true we do. for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, Romans 3:23. We all sin and fall short of god's glory, this doesn't mean we are to sin but realize that we are not perfect and only perfect one is Jesus. 13 He has delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of his beloved Son, 14 in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins. God gave us His son to die for our sins so, that we may be forgiven and clean. So, why do we not look for God in our sins and after we sin?
During sin, we look for everything but God to help us to stop sin but why not look for God in the sin and turn from it. Call it out and capture the sin in Looking toward Jesus. If you have sinned stop looking for anything else and look for God and turn to Him for forgiveness. If you remember the verse we have used a lot and that is Luke 10:27 which says, And he answered, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind, and your neighbor as yourself.” We are to love and seek God at all times, in the times of sin and the times after sin. we are to seek God 24/7 remember. This doesn't mean we are to sin or that this is the justification to sin it just means we are not perfect, and we will sin at some point.
The only perfect one I mentioned above is Jesus and if you read your bible or have read your bible you will see that. Reference Matthew Chapter 4:1-11. Jesus was tempted by the devil Himself and He resisted the devil and the devil left him.
So instead of sin look for God. Instead of guilt and shame look for God. Look/seek God 24/7 and see what happens!!!!
Have a do it, Lord, kind of day!!!!
