Let It grow: The Labor

What does it take for a seed to grow? You need to water it, care for it, prune it as it grows, and keep it from getting eaten or consumed by the things around it. We need to do the same when we plant seeds. We need to instead of water it, pray for it. First of all, then, I admonish and urge that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be offered on behalf of all men, 1 Timothy 2:1.  Just like above care for it. instead pruning it you do as the Bible says, 16 Every Scripture is God-breathed (given by His inspiration) and profitable for instruction, for reproof and conviction of sin, for correction of error and discipline in obedience, [and] for training in righteousness (in holy living, in conformity to God’s will in thought, purpose, and action), 2 Timothy 3:16.

The last thing instead of keeping it from being eaten, we need to make sure the devil or evil doesn't come and take it away. Be well balanced (temperate, sober of mind), be vigilant and cautious at all times; for that enemy of yours, the devil, roams around like a lion roaring [in fierce hunger], seeking someone to seize upon and devour. 1 Peter 5:8.  Do not be conformed to this world (this age), [fashioned after and adapted to its external, superficial customs], but be transformed (changed) by the [entire] renewal of your mind [by its new ideals and its new attitude], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God, even the thing which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His sight for you]. Romans 12:2. we are not to be consumed (conformed) by (to) the (this) world, we are to have a renewed mind and be of Christ.

These are things we need to do once we have planted the seed. We need to pray, care for it, and keep evil, the flesh, the world, and the devil away so it can grow. Just like anything in life we need to put effort to help it grow. something cannot happen by just sitting there, you need to put work/effort toward it.
