What if we banded together as Christians and took back our city's that we live in? Yesterday I was reading a message I got from my pastor, and it made me think of the song God of This City. it got me think what if we took back our city's that we live in for God and not for things of this world. Could it be done, yes but churches need to unite like I talked about in another message. Why do to churches fight over stupid stuff I will never no. in all matters pertaining to the church the bible is very clear. Why do we not unite For Christ and do his will. I know that there is a lot of people hurting in Stockton and in other cities as well. So why aren't the churches do their part. In this hour we need to win souls for Christ.
32 And the congregation of those who believed were of one heart and soul; and not one of them claimed that anything belonging to him was his own, but all things were common property to them. 33 And with great power the apostles were giving testimony to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and abundant grace was upon them all 34 For there was not a needy person among them, for all who were owners of land or houses would sell them and bring the proceeds of the sales 35 and lay them at the apostles’ feet, and they would be distributed to each to the extent that any had need. Acts 4 33-35 they gave to each one who had need selling their property and such to provide foe the people who needed help. it also talks about they all broke break bread together in another verse. why can't we be cities that meet the needs on everyone not just a few. So, let's take back our cites for the kingdom of God and tell the devil where he can go back to, and that this city is for God and all who live in that city!!!!!!!!!!
What Can I do? Pray for your city and those churches will step up and unite for the greater Purpose of the Kingdom. talk your church about it as well. get involved in your church and if they don't have programs in your church to reach people start one. Get involved in your city and help to change your city.
Back in the day the laws of our country were debated not in congress but in a church at a pulpit. why do we not get back to that? Let seek God first and them go and make decisions.
So, go forth and find ways to reach your city for Christ and declare that your city is a City of God.
