The three main characters in the birth of Christ are:
Jesus- For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6
Mary- to a virgin betrothed to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin’s name was Mary.
Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When his mother Mary had been betrothed to Joseph, before they came together she was found with child of the Holy Spirit. Matthew 1:18
Joseph- and Jacob begat Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus, who is called Christ.
The second two people who were Jesus' mom and dad were pieces to the puzzle that ultimately culminated in The Messiah being born.
The key points of this story are:
Mary was a virgin
Jesus was born in a manger
He born in Bethlehem
He was born to dye for our sins
Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, Wise-men from the east came to Jerusalem, saying, Matthew 2:1
The main point of this story is that Jesus was born of a virgin. Nothing more. Jesus's Mom and Dad were just pieces to the puzzles that brought about Jesus the one with names like Wonderful, Counsellor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. The person who was to be the savior of the world.
The most important person in this story is Jesus. To have shrines in the churches of Mary or Joseph for that matter is like the verse yesterday about idols. That is what they become if you are not careful, so why even open that door. Keep the story and the reason we go to church on Jesus and His kingdom. That doesn't mean we cannot mention them just not put tons of importance on them.
No one is more important than Christ Jesus. the bible is very clear about this in Exodus Chapter 20 verse 3 saying, Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
Jesus is the reason for the Season!!!! For tomorrow I will talk about that...

So, nothing is said in John either. So today to prepare, I want you to think of these things as we ready to talk about the birth of Christ. Jesus being born is important.
Where does Mary play a part and where does joseph his dad play a part.
Are they just as important that Jesus?
Are they more important than Jesus?
Do shrines of them deserve to be erected and put out?
Should we worship then Just like Jesus?
What does the bible say?
Think about these questions and get ready for us to talk about the birth of Christ. This isn't all about me telling you stuff, I want you to think for yourself and the bible be our guide, not my own understanding or what I think. So have a blessed day!!!!

Today we will look at Matthew and then go through all the way to John, looking at the birth of Jesus.

And they shall call his name Immanuel;

What can you cast out? what can you put into submission? What can you make happen? But he said, The things which are impossible with men are possible with God. Luke 18:27.
Picture no one sick or no one with disease or no demons to cast. In a perfect world that would be right, we do not live in a perfect world, we live in a sinful world, a world of evil. Nowhere in the bible does it talk about us reaching everyone. the great commission talks about making disciples of all nations, but the verse never says to may everyone one. If every Christian rose up and tried to bring everyone to Christ, there would still be people who would not want to come to Christ no matter how hard we tried, take a look at the pharisees. They had Jesus in their presence and still could not come to Him.
But what would it look like if we, each Christian healed the sick, took away diseases, and cast out demons in our own neighborhood? We would have heaven on earth and the evil world would be very different right. It would be like Luke 23:43, And he said to him, “Truly, I say to you, today you will be with me in Paradise.” This may not be specifically talking about the earth, and is talking about heaven and being with Jesus, but what if heaven was a place on earth. It could look like paradise if we all did as Jesus did in our neighbor or at least a better place than we live now, that is for sure.
First main point:
We have the power and the ability to be like Jesus and do what he did.
Second main point:
It takes faith then belief, then confidence and authority.
Third main point:
We need to not worry about doing the whole earth just our neighborhood. Casting out demons and healing the sick and diseases.
Fourth point:
The earth could look like heaven.
16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that disbelieveth shall be condemned. 17 And these signs shall accompany them that believe: in my name shall they cast out demons; they shall speak with new tongues; 18 they shall take up serpents, and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall in no wise hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. Mark 16:16-17

5 These twelve Jesus sent forth, and charged them, saying, Go not into any way of the Gentiles, and enter not into any city of the Samaritans: 6 but go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. 7 And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand. 8 Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers, cast out demons: freely ye received, freely give. 9 Get you no gold, nor silver, nor brass in your purses; 10 no wallet for your journey, neither two coats, nor shoes, nor staff: for the laborer is worthy of his food. 11 And into whatsoever city or village ye shall enter, search out who in it is worthy; and there abide till ye go forth. 12 And as ye enter into the house, salute it. 13 And if the house be worthy, let your peace come upon it: but if it be not worthy, let your peace return to you. 14 And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, as ye go forth out of that house or that city, shake off the dust of your feet. 15 Verily I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgment, than for that city.
16 Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves. 17 But beware of men: for they will deliver you up to councils, and in their synagogues they will scourge you; 18 yea and before governors and kings shall ye be brought for my sake, for a testimony to them and to the Gentiles. 19 But when they deliver you up, be not anxious how or what ye shall speak: for it shall be given you in that hour what ye shall speak. 20 For it is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Father that speaketh in you. 21 And brother shall deliver up brother to death, and the father his child: and children shall rise up against parents, and [h]cause them to be put to death. 22 And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake: but he that endureth to the end, the same shall be saved. 23 But when they persecute you in this city, flee into the next: for verily I say unto you, Ye shall not have gone through the cities of Israel, till the Son of man be come.
24 A disciple is not above his teacher, nor a servant above his lord. 25 It is enough for the disciple that he be as his teacher, and the servant as his lord. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more them of his household! 26 Fear them not therefore: for there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; and hid, that shall not be known. 27 What I tell you in the darkness, speak ye in the light; and what ye hear in the ear, proclaim upon the house-tops. 28 And be not afraid of them that kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. 29 Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? and not one of them shall fall on the ground without your Father: 30 but the very hairs of your head are all numbered. 31 Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows. 32 Every one therefore who shall confess me before men, him will I also confess before my Father who is in heaven. 33 But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father who is in heaven.
34 Think not that I came to send peace on the earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword. 35 For I came to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law: 36 and a man’s foes shall be they of his own household. 37 He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. 38 And he that doth not take his cross and follow after me, is not worthy of me. 39 He that findeth his life shall lose it; and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it.
40 He that receiveth you receiveth me, and he that receiveth me receiveth him that sent me. 41 He that receiveth a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet’s reward: and he that receiveth a righteous man in the name of a righteous man shall receive a righteous man’s reward. 42 And whosoever shall give to drink unto one of these little ones a cup of cold water only, in the name of a disciple, verily I say unto you he shall in no wise lose his reward.
