Let Go Let God....

I talked the other day about instead of Grumbling or getting angry or something else pray. I believe we should do that. No matter what happens we should go to pray but I wanted to go a different direction today. Instead of saying I don’t have enough, I need more, they have nicer cars, there angry why can’t I be, they just did whatever, the circumstance is not good, I’m in the midst of a divorce, I can’t handle life. Whatever it is that is holding you back from God let it go and let God take over. This still deals with pray of course. In in any circumstance that you feel you can’t get over let go and let God. We so often hold to things and action because we can’t let go of them and think we need to keep them because God doesn’t want them or It’s crutch or I need then to be who I am. I here to tell you don’t need them and need to let go and let God take over. It's easy to say but hard to do. I get it I have things in my life that I have tried to hold on to but in the end giving it up to God. God is the God of the impossible and the bible says lay down you burden upon me. God is with you in this so let go and let God take over. If I think you read it, I would write down, let go and let God take over for pages to let it sink into your head, but I won’t. I leave you with this pray to God saying this, I give ___________ to you, I leave it in your hands take it from for I cannot keep it anymore. But the kicker is you really once you pray for it that way give it to him and not take it back. Just throughout the day if you want to take it back just say I gave to you God and I do not need to worry about it anymore.

Genesis 31: 43-55

43 then Laban replied to Jacob, “The daughters are my daughters, the children are my grandchildren, the flocks are my flocks, and everything that you see is mine. But what can I do this day to these daughters of mine or to their children to whom they have given birth? 44 So now come, let’s make a covenant, you and I, and it shall be a witness between you and me.” 45 Then Jacob took a stone and set it up as a memorial stone. 46 Jacob said to his relatives, “Gather stones.” So they took stones and made a heap, and they ate there by the heap. 47 Now Laban called it Jegar-sahadutha, but Jacob called it Galeed. 48 Laban said, “This heap is a witness between you and me this day.” Therefore it was named Galeed, 49 and Mizpah, for he said, “May the Lord keep watch between you and me when we are absent one from the other. 50 If you mistreat my daughters, or if you take wives besides my daughters, although no one is with us, see, God is witness between you and me.” 51 Laban also said to Jacob, “Behold this heap and behold the memorial stone which I have set between you and me. 52 This heap is a witness, and the memorial stone is a witness, that I will not pass by this heap to you for harm, and you will not pass by this heap and this memorial stone to me, for harm. 53 The God of Abraham and the God of Nahor, the God of their father, judge between us.” So Jacob swore by the fear of his father Isaac. 54 Then Jacob offered a sacrifice on the mountain, and called his relatives to the meal; and they ate the meal and spent the night on the mountain. 55 Then early in the morning Laban got up, and kissed his grandchildren and his daughters and blessed them. Then Laban departed and returned to his place. Genesis 31: 43-55 Taken From NASB

Do you listen to God or for God?

We so often pray to God and talk and talk and talk and then say in Jesus Name Amen. Then go about our daily lives and never give God a word or inch edge wise. We just speak and never take time to listen or wait for him to respond with what we prayed for or asked for. So, take time when to listen to God and for God. It doesn’t mean ho going to call or shout it out to you like the Old Testament but he God and can do that of course. He can use many things to answer your prayers like songs, emails, text and what you watch and listen to. I prayed for an answer if I was to go to Africa on my third trip when I went, I asked God to give me clear sign if I was to go and not soon after that I God and email that said come like now. So, God does answer us, and we need to be open to where it will come from. I don’t do it as often as I should either but when I do I get answers or feelings in my spirit. You may be waiting for a response but, God already told you an answer and you just didn’t hear it. One example I was a lot, but love is a flood comes and a man has to get on the roof, and he is stranded. He prays to God for him to be rescued and a rowboat comes and the guy on the boat says come and get in I will take you to safety and the guy that prayed said no my God will save me so, the rowboat leaves. Then a motorboat comes and says to the man on the roof come and we will go to safety and the man says no my God will Save me so the motorboat leaves. And then a helicopter comes and yells down and drops a latter, climb up and come to safety and the guy yells up and says no my God will save me, so, the helicopter leaves. Then the guy prays why have you not saved me God and God answer back I gave you three chances to be rescues but you did not take any of them. Don’t miss what God has for you to hear. So, listen for God and from God. he will answer but, in his timing, so stay ready for an answer.

Mark 2: 16-22

16 When the scribes of the Pharisees saw that He was eating with the sinners and tax collectors, they said to His disciples, “Why is He eating with tax collectors and sinners?” 17 And hearing this, Jesus *said to them, It is not those who are healthy who need a physician, but those who are sick; I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners." 18 John’s disciples and the Pharisees were fasting; and they *came and *said to Him, “Why do John’s disciples and the disciples of the Pharisees fast, but Your disciples do not fast?” 19 And Jesus said to them, “While the groom is with them, the attendants of the groom cannot fast, can they? As long as they have the groom with them, they cannot fast. 20 But the days will come when the groom is taken away from them, and then they will fast, on that day. “21 No one sews a patch of unshrunk cloth on an old garment; otherwise, [k]the patch pulls away from it, the new from the old, and a worse tear results. 22 And no one puts new wine into old wineskins; otherwise the wine will burst the skins, and the wine is lost and the skins as well; but one puts new wine into fresh wineskins.” Mark 2: 16-22 taken from the NASB

I was about to dissects the Lord's pray then....

I was all set to dissect the Lord’s prayer and I was ready to do so, and it was ready to go, but as I was praying, I got another message to share. It’s about prayer as you guessed it. If you haven’t notice by now, I love to pray and worship. I also love to talk about prayer and to pray for others. When you get mad what do you do? Instead of getting mad, pray. What do you do when you hear something on the news? Instead of brooding about it or angry or something else, pray. When our nation does something, you don’t like or you think isn’t right, pray. When someone cuts you off on the freeway what do you do? Instead of cursing or flipping the person off, pray. When things don’t go your way what do you? Instead of dwelling on those things didn’t go your way, pray. When something bad happens to you and say why me? Instead of why me, pray. When someone get blessed and you don’t what do you do? Instead of dwelling on others blessing, pray. In all circumstance we should pray, as I have said not just when things are going right but in the midst of the storms as well. Instead of anything go to prayer first and then move or think or speak or do what you were going to do next. It will change your mood, attitude, circumstance, or direction. Be intentional in how you pray and pray with power and conviction. Leave nothing out in your prayers, I even praise and thank God for the coffee I drink and the coffee mug I drink it out of.  So, start praying today. It will change your life and others.

Go with prayer first (seeking God first) and everything else second!!!! Trust everything else will fall into place!!!!!!

If you get nothing else from today just get this start praying today, But I hope you more than that out of it.

Mark: 1 40-42

40 And a man with leprosy *came to Jesus, imploring Him and kneeling down, and saying to Him, “If You are willing, You can make me clean.” 40 Moved with compassion, Jesus reached out with His hand and touched him, and *said to him, “I am willing; be cleansed.” 42 And immediately the leprosy left him, and he was cleansed. What and Why Do We Pray...

What is prayer? Simply put prayer is a conversation between you and God.

It’s that easy then why do we not do as often as we should? Is it pride or do we pray only when you need something or in crisis? Could be for several reasons that we do not pray enough. What keeps you from praying is something that you know and no one else knows, well God knows. Maybe you don’t know who to pray to or what prayer is, as I said it’s as simple as a conversation between you and God.

But I can’t pray as good as others. Prayer doesn’t have to be this eloquent prayer or long-winded prayer. It can be as easy I praise and thank you God. Amen. Prayer is easy we made it hard. Oh, I heard a pastor pray so nice and with authority, I could never do that. Your wrong and get that thinking right out of your head right now, for that is the devil trying to stop you from praying or the flesh stopping you. When we pray things begin to happen as I have said. Don’t let the devil have an inch because he will take the inch and then take a mile (In a later message I will talk about the devil and is evil ways not to give him due but to acknowledge that he is real and how to protect yourself).

Why do we prayer? We pray to communicate with our Lord and Savior. He already knows all and knows what you will say but he wants to hear you utter the words and put forth effort to it. It’s act on our part which is praying to start with then God will do his part. I say to start with because sometimes there are other steps, we need to do so God can do his part.  An example of that is two men prayed for jobs, one just prayed and sat there. The other one posted his resume on websites, made calls, and walked into places about jobs. Which one will God give a Job to? Get the hang of what I said. If not, I will put it another way sometimes the only step is praying and sometimes there is two steps and sometimes three or more. I say this but it doesn’t mean that God makes us jump through hoops to pray or receive what we are Praying about. We can pray at any time, and he freely give us what we pray about but it’s in his timing. There are certain things I believe God doesn’t answer in prayer because it may be something you don’t need, or he knows if he gives it to you what will happen. God gives what we need, when we pray and will continue to bless us but, God knows what we need when we need it and what we don’t need.

Prayer is so important that God even Shows us how to pray. We do not need to pray this way every time, but it is a model or example of how we should pray:

Our Father, who is in heaven,
Hallowed be Your name.
Your kingdom come.
Your will be done,
On earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.
And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from evil.’ Matthew 6: Part of 9-13 NASB

With prayer being so important, we need to do it every day, all day. No matter how we feel or if we think we should or if we can pray eloquently. Plainly put God wants to hear from us not matter how we do it. So just pray today and Let God do his part (unless there are other steps to do before God can do his part).

Prayer topic listed on main page after bible reading plans so scroll down and take a look.

Genesis 28 :12-13, 16-17

12 Anhe had a dream, and behold, a ladder was set up on the earth with its top reaching to heaven; and behold, the angels of God were ascending and descending on it. 13 then behold, the Lord was standing above it and said, “I am the Lord, the God of your father Abraham and the God of Isaac; the land on which you lie I will give to you and to your descendants.

16 then Jacob awoke from his sleep and said, “The Lord is certainly in this place, and I did not know it!” 17 And he was afraid and said, “How awesome is this place! This is none other than the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven!” Genesis 28: 12-13, 16-17

Standing in the Gap... Part Three

I’ve been praying a lot lately and have been feeling in my spirit for walls to be shattered, chains be broken, breakthroughs and victories. I’ve been declaring it. I just feel it in my spirit for this. When we pray things will happen. God wants us to shout it out to him and he will do the rest in mighty way. Take the fight to enemy today and stick it to the devil. The thing the devil hates most is when you sing and pray. There is a song that I like that says called O might ones by ultimate call, When I move my body, when I move my feet

When I open my mouth, then the darkness flees
When I move my body, when I move my feet
When I open my mouth, then the darkness flees
When I move my body, when I move my feet
When I open my mouth, then the darkness flees
When I move my body, when I move my feet
When I open my mouth, then the darkness flees
When I move my body, when I move my feet
When I open my mouth, then the darkness flees
When I move my body, when I move my feet
When I open my mouth, then the darkness flees
It's gotta go, yes

When we put forth effort God will move in a mighty way.  As I said I feel in spirit that has been moving me in these things that are listed above are to have happen. My message is to pray with passion, with intention and to praise God for the victory you already have. Give God the praise for everything and all things he will move in a mighty way. I keep saying in a might way because He does, not in our timing but in His own timing. So, pray on and declare it!!!!

With all this talk about pray for those who do not know what pray is or have forget how to pray I will be sharing about that tomorrow.

Matthew 27:46, 50

46 And about the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lema sabaktanei?” that is, My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?”

50 And Jesus cried out again with a loud voice, and gave up His spirit.  Matthew 27: 46, 50

Standing in the Gap... Part Two

Part two

Create a pray list of people you're praying for. It helps to not forget anyone. I created one and it really helps. It doesn’t matter how fancy it is (I typed my out) but you can do it however you like. This is a great tool when praying for people in the gap or just in general. I lift my up all the time and declare victories, chains broken, breakthroughs and walls crumbling down. God is good and will do great things in the lives of people you pray for. just thinking it isn't enough you need speak or write it down tells God your intentions or your thoughts. God knows all but wants to hear you say it, speak it out and declare it.  so, don’t prayer just by thinking it but by their name (shout it out) and do it with conviction, it may the difference in their life today.

There is no wrong to pray for someone but just prayer as I said, “it may make a difference in their life today.”

Matthew 26: 39

39 And He went a little beyond them, and fell on His face and prayed, saying, “My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me; yet not as I will, but as You will.”  Matthew 26:39 taken from the NASB

Standing in the Gap... Part One

We need to stand for those who can’t. We need to fill the gap. Intervene on other’s behalf. Pray for someone who can’t stand, help fill their gap!!!! There are people who need Jesus every day and not even know it. They could be dealing with somethings and need help. The only one who can help is Jesus Christ, not stones, fortune tellers, lucky anything or a book can do it. So, pray for someone’s victory, breakthrough, chains being broken, or walls crumbling down in the name of Jesus. Don’t prayer just by thinking it but by their name (shout it out) and do it with conviction, it may the difference in their life today.

Examples:

God, I thank and praise you I pray for ____________. I am praying for _______ that he has a breakthrough, chains being broken, praising you for the victories _____ will have and walls breaking down. I pray for blessing and protection around ______.

God, I pray today for _________ That you heal _____ whatever he has. _____ is sick and needs your help. I stand for him when he cannot not so be with ____ and comfort and give _____ peace. I praise you for the victory _______ will have in this area.

Thank You God For _________ my (relationship with person insert) ___________ and they he does not know you or has fallen away from you.  Help _________ come to know you and fall on their knees or help __________ come back to your presents and fall at your alter.

There is no wrong to pray for someone but just prayer as I said, “it may make a difference in their life today.”
