But he gives more grace. Therefore it says, “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.” James 4:6 ESV
God does not like the proud and that is said throughout the Bible.
God loves the humble and humble at heart.
It's not that God gives up humility but gives us ways to be humble so we can be more like Him.
Whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted. Matthew 23:12 ESV
We are to be humble because humility is from God.
So, with that let's look at more verses about humble and God wanting this for us.
Humble yourselves in the presence of the Lord, and He will exalt you. James 4:10 NASB
For the Lord had humbled Judah because of Ahaz king of Israel, for he had brought about a lack of restraint in Judah and was very unfaithful to the Lord. 2 Chronicles 28:19 NASB
When they have brought you low, you will speak with confidence, And He will save the humble person. Job 22:29 NASB
Arise, Lord; God, lift up Your hand. Do not forget the humble. Psalm 10:12 NASB
He leads the humble in justice, And He teaches the humble His way. Psalm 25:9
God Humbles the Proud, but Exalts the Righteous.

The Lord Exalts the Humble.
Praise the Lord! Praise Him, you servants of the Lord, Praise the name of the Lord. Psalm 113:1 NASB
Accept and praise God for humility today as the gift that is freely given to you for Tomorrow, we look at the seventh gift from God.
