Stand up for Jesus Part 6

I believe that I shall look upon the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living! Psalm 27:13 ESV

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever. Psalm 23:6 ESV

The Lord is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; he knows those who take refuge in him. Nahum 1:7 ESV

Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good! Blessed is the man who takes refuge in him! Psalm 34:8 ESV

Oh, how abundant is your goodness, which you have stored up for those who fear you and worked for those who take refuge in you, in the sight of the children of mankind! Psalm 31:19 ESV

Verse after verse I researched and see that the goodness of God is so true as the verse says in Hebrews 13:8 which says, Jesus Christ is the same yesterdaytoday, and forever which translates that God is good all the time because He never Changes.

God is good so no more is needed to get me to stand for Him, I don't know about you!!!! We then who are strong ought to bear with the scruples of the weak, and not to please ourselves. Romans 15:1 NKJV. 10 For do I now persuade men, or God? Or do I seek to please men? For if I still pleased men, I would not be a bondservant of Christ. Galatians 1:10 NKJV. We are to seek the pleasure and the pleasing that God has for us not ourselves or man.

Because what God has for us is seen in His goodness.

So will stand for Him Today because of His goodness!!!!

The struggle and such I talked about yesterday doesn't compare to the goodness of God Amen!!!!!

Ephesians 6:19-24

19 and pray in my behalf, that speech may be given to me in the opening of my mouth, to make known with boldness the mystery of the gospel, 20 for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in proclaiming it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.

21 Now, so that you also may know about my circumstances as to what I am doing, Tychicus, the beloved brother and faithful servant in the Lord, will make everything known to you. 22 I have sent him to you for this very purpose, so that you may know about us, and that he may comfort your hearts.

23 Peace be to the brothers and sisters, and love with faith, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. 24 Grace be with all those who love our Lord Jesus Christ with incorruptible love. Ephesians 6:19-24 NASB

Stand Up for Jesus Part 5

Standing for Jesus can get you to lose your family, your job, your friends, and anything else you can think of. you. You will as I said yesterday go through Matthew 24:9 which says, Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake. Matthew 24:9 KJV. Many people will hate you and they even might kill you as the verse says.

With all that said what makes us want to stand for Him If all this could happen.

14 I press on toward the goal unto the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. Philippians 3:14 ASV

I have fought the good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith: 2 Timothy 4:7 ASV

The Armor of God

10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore, take up the full armor of God, so that you will be able to resist on the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm. 14 Stand firm therefore, having belted your waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15 and having strapped on your feet the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 in addition to all, taking up the shield of faith with which you will be able to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 And take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

18 With every prayer and request, pray at all times in the Spirit, and with this in view, be alert with all perseverance and every request for all the saints, Ephesians 6:10-18 NASB

This all leads us to be in Heaven with Jesus. If we stand and be with Him and have the faith, we will be in Heaven with Jesus.

Last night I fell in doing so, I felt depleted and tired and felt demonic spirits around and did turn to Christ at one point I did but nothing seemed to help. But was it sincere probably not. But this morning it is made new and with a revived spirit I stand before you delivered from it all. I am here to stand for Jesus. and next time be wiser.

We all struggle, and I shared above to tell you that. I doubted last night but not again I hope and will be my prayer.

We all struggle in this race called life in a recent sermon I heard it was said it isn't how you start the race but how you finish.

So with all that said I will stand for Jesus no matter what because I want the end of the race to be better than when I started.

Have a blessed day!!!

Luke 18:15-17

 Jesus Blesses Little Children

15 Then they also brought infants to Him that He might touch them; but when the disciples saw it, they rebuked them. 16 But Jesus called them to Him and said, “Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of God. 17 Assuredly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God as a little child will by no means enter it.” Luke 18:15-17 NKJV

Stand Up for Jesus Part 4

I read the book Jesus Freaks by DC Talk and one story stood out to me that a mother/daughter was in prison. the only way to leave was to denounce God but the woman refused as she heard her daughter cry every night. One time she was asked and let go, her daughter asked why did you do that Mommy and she said you kept crying so I denounced God for you. The child said I won't cry anymore, and the lady recanted her statement and was put back in prison. I recant (paraphrased) this story because it shows two things' children are smarter than we think, and it isn't always going to be easy to be to stand for Jesus.

But if a little girl can say that to her mom and stand for Jesus. What is our excuse for not doing the same and we are adults and understand more than her. I think in that instance that girl knew more than any adult could.

And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 18:3 KJV.

We need to become like Children to have the right kind of faith. when you hear your child say Jesus and amen for the first time it melts your heart or when your child runs up and says to you, I love Jesus, can I tell you about him and they are all happy and glowing.

Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake. Matthew 24:9 KJV.

This verse is going to happen to us just like it did to the disciples if we chose to stand for Jesus. But when things come like this look towards a child and do as it says in John 16:33, These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. Children get faith right, why can't we?

They will share Jesus without thinking, pray and not think about offending someone, sing, and don't care who hears it. Let us act as Children today! As the saying goes child at heart. Let that ring out today and be as bold as Children today!!!!

If Kids can stand for Jesus none of that other stuff about being hard and such matters, it just falls off because we need the same kind of faith.

17 Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child shall in no wise enter therein. Luke 18:17 KJV

1 Peter 2:4-10

The Chosen Stone and His Chosen People

Coming to Him as to a living stone, rejected indeed by men, but chosen by God and precious, you also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. Therefore it is also contained in the Scripture,

“Behold, I lay in Zion
A chief cornerstone, elect, precious,
And he who believes on Him will by no means be put to shame.”

Therefore, to you who believe, He is precious; but to those who [b]are disobedient,

“The stone which the builders rejected
Has become the chief cornerstone,”

and

“A stone of stumbling
And a rock of offense.”

They stumble, being disobedient to the word, to which they also were appointed.

But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; 10 who once were not a people but are now the people of God, who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy. 1 Peter 2:4-10 NKJV

Stand up for Jesus Not Your Normal Prayer...

Today is Sunday in America and my heart is troubled. From my spirit, I am only getting prayer and to pray but I am not sure that is enough that I pray today. So, I will pray for that is what I am getting in my spirit and let God do the rest with what I think is not enough about standing up for Jesus.

I speak Jesus

This is all I can utter.

All I can say is Jesus

So, I say Jesus in the morning, Jesus in the midday, and Jesus in the evening

I say, Jesus and I stand for Him

Jesus reigns in your (my) life today

Jesus Jesus Jesus

Without you Jesus we (I am) are nothing

So, I say, Jesus

In Jesus Name

Amen

If that doesn't look like a normal prayer that is all I could write this morning.

May we speak Jesus and stand for Him everywhere we go!!! The grocery store, the gas station, in the middle of the street, in the shower, in the front yard in the back yard in all the places we can think of and the places we cannot think would we speak Jesus and stand for Him Today!!!!

But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light; 1 Peter 2:9

Acts 28: 11-31

 Paul in Rome

17 After three days he called together the local leaders of the Jews, and when they had gathered, he said to them, “Brothers, though I had done nothing against our people or the customs of our fathers, yet I was delivered as a prisoner from Jerusalem into the hands of the Romans. 18 When they had examined me, they wished to set me at liberty, because there was no reason for the death penalty in my case. 19 But because the Jews objected, I was compelled to appeal to Caesar—though I had no charge to bring against my nation. 20 For this reason, therefore, I have asked to see you and speak with you, since it is because of the hope of Israel that I am wearing this chain.” 21 And they said to him, “We have received no letters from Judea about you, and none of the brothers coming here has reported or spoken any evil about you. 22 But we desire to hear from you what your views are, for with regard to this sect we know that everywhere it is spoken against.”

23 When they had appointed a day for him, they came to him at his lodging in greater numbers. From morning till evening he expounded to them, testifying to the kingdom of God and trying to convince them about Jesus both from the Law of Moses and from the Prophets. 24 And some were convinced by what he said, but others disbelieved. 25 And disagreeing among themselves, they departed after Paul had made one statement: “The Holy Spirit was right in saying to your fathers through Isaiah the prophet:

26 “‘Go to this people, and say,
“You will indeed hear but never understand,
and you will indeed see but never perceive.”
27 For this people's heart has grown dull,
and with their ears they can barely hear,
    and their eyes they have closed;
lest they should see with their eyes
    and hear with their ears
and understand with their heart
and turn, and I would heal them.’

28 Therefore let it be known to you that this salvation of God has been sent to the Gentiles; they will listen.”

30 He lived there two whole years at his own expense, and welcomed all who came to him, 31 proclaiming the kingdom of God and teaching about the Lord Jesus Christ with all boldness and without hindrance. Acts 28:11-31 ESV

Stand Up for Jesus part 3

As I was looking over yesterday's message it got me to think what are the biggest things that are the loudest in today's society and culture.

1. trump

2. pride

3. abortion

4. black live matter

5. immigration

6. prostitution

The list could go on and on and at the end where is Jesus. Jesus is in His rightful place in heaven, that hasn't changed but what has changed is we as Christians are not bold in talking about Him anymore. We no longer want to offend people, so we just stop talking about Him. Instead, we need to be bold like it says in Acts 28:31 (ESV) which says, Proclaiming the kingdom of God and teaching about the Lord Jesus Christ with all boldness and without hindrance. We need to go forth and be strong and courageous as it says in Joshua 1:9 (ESV), Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” God is with us all the time and when we step out and be bold in telling others about Him, He is with us and will give us the tools to do so.

Nowhere in the Bible does it talk about being weak in talking and proclaiming about Jesus. It always talks about being bold and strong and stuff of that nature. We need to stand for Jesus in boldness and proclaim the good news. John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. God didn't send his son to die so that we may be quiet but that we might live and proclaim and stand for Jesus.

Let us stand for Jesus today!!!!

***Some of the things listed above are sins, some are legal issues, and some are just wanted to be heard. I get it. The list above wasn't to bash anything or anyone like that but to say where is Jesus,***

Philippians 2:1-11

 Christ's Example of Humility

So if there is any encouragement in Christ, any comfort from love, any participation in the Spirit, any affection and sympathy, complete my joy by being of the same mind, having the same love, being in full accord and of one mind. Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others. Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus,[a] who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped,[b] but emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant,[c] being born in the likeness of men. And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, 10 so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11 and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Philippians 2:1-11 ESV

Stand Up for Jesus Part 2...

I started yesterday with a kid saying mommy or a toy several times. It gets to the point of what I am talking about, and this is what if we talked like that that the only thing, they could hear out of mouths was Jesus and standing for him. Through this infectious talk, they want to know more about this Jesus and standing for Him. What happens when you hear a kid say mommy a thousand times you either ignore it which never happens, or you listen and give heed to it. What happens when you hear a kid say I want a toy a thousand times you either ignore which doesn't happen or you give the kid the toy or you take the kid out of the store kicking and screaming but either way you did not ignore it. If as Christians, we started to talk like that what would happen. I am not saying to be like the kids but the spirit of how the kids say it.

For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. Romans 1:16 ESV. Proclaiming the kingdom of God and teaching about the Lord Jesus Christ with all boldness and without hindrance. Acts 28:31 ESV. Just like the kids are not ashamed to say mommy a thousand times or for that toy a thousand times we need to be ashamed to proclaim the gospel. Kids are bold when they ask for toys, so should we be in standing up and talking about Jesus.

So, let's be bold as kids and proclaim the good news to all people. We need to stand for Jesus and proclaim Him in a world that wants nothing to do with Him. The world can call me what they want but I will never bow down to sin. I will be like a kid that says Mommy or for a toy a thousand times but instead of saying those things I will speak Jesus a thousand times.

Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Philippians 2:9-11 ESV.

Let us speak the name of Jesus today and stand for Him today!!!

Tomorrow may be continued or something else not sure letting God lead as I always do.

Mark 8: 34-38

34 And he called unto him the multitude with his disciples, and said unto them, If any man would come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. 35 For whosoever would save his life shall lose it; and whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel’s shall save it. 36 For what doth it profit a man, to gain the whole world, and forfeit his life? 37 For what should a man give in exchange for his life? 38 For whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of man also shall be ashamed of him, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels. Mark 8: 34-38 ASV

Stand Up for Jesus Part 1

Have you ever heard of a kid saying mommy several times or a kid saying I want a toy several times? For parents, this is something you hear all the time.  Where is God today? He is not some ancient thing or person that no longer is important or dead. Jesus is just alive today as he was back in the days of the Bible. And he saith unto them, Be not amazed: ye seek Jesus, the Nazarene, who hath been crucified: he is risen; he is not here: behold, the place where they laid him! Mark 16:6 ASV. Jesus is alive!!! I will say again Jesus is alive!!!! Again, I say Jesus is alive!!!!  In a nation that no longer wants Jesus but sin. I will stand for and in the midst of Jesus.  I will stand for standing for Jesus no matter what comes. I will glorify the name of Jesus in the midst of it all.

But what does the bible say on this subject? Let's take a look...

And calling the crowd to him with his disciples, he said to them, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake and the gospel's will save it. For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world and forfeit his soul? For what can a man give in return for his soul? For whoever is ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, of him will the Son of Man also be ashamed when he comes in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.” Mark 8:34-38 ESV.

To stand up for Jesus, we must deny ourselves and pick up our cross. We need to lose our life for Jesus' sake and the gospel's life will be saved.

Therefore, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in him, rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving. See to it that no one takes you captive by philosophy and empty deceit, according to human tradition, according to the elemental spirits of the world, and not according to Christ. Colossians 2:6-8 ESV.

To stand up for Jesus we need to walk rooted and built up in Jesus and have faith that is established by teaching. Anything that is not according to Christ we need to not pay attention to.

Yet if anyone suffers as a Christian, let him not be ashamed, but let him glorify God in that name. 1 Peter 4:16 ESV.

We need to not be ashamed of Jesus and the Gospel. For we will all suffer as Christians.

Psalm 150

150 Praise ye the Lord. Praise God in his sanctuary: praise him in the firmament of his power.

Praise him for his mighty acts: praise him according to his excellent greatness.

Praise him with the sound of the trumpet: praise him with the psaltery and harp.

Praise him with the timbrel and dance: praise him with stringed instruments and organs.

Praise him upon the loud cymbals: praise him upon the high sounding cymbals.

Let every thing that hath breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord. Psalm 150 KJV.
