A God of Desires: His Desires!!!

So, we have talked about worldly desires, The flesh, submission, and us, today we will now be looking at what God desires. To do this let's look at what the Bible says. To start off with in Psalm 51:6 says, Behold, thou desirest truth in the inward parts; And in the hidden part thou wilt make me to know wisdom. God desires us to seek and to have/be truth(ful). But flee youthful lusts, and follow after righteousness, faith, love, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart. 2 Timothy 2:22. So, we are to flee lust and that lust is youthful. We are to desire what is right. We are to desire faith love and peace as well. We need to seek all these desires like God tells us but what is the greatest desire of God.

The greatest desire of God is a relationship with us. if that were not true, then why would we have the verse, Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me. Revelations 3:20. God desires it all from us in this relationship and that is evident as it states in Mark 12:30, and thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength. God desires to seek what is good and what is right but most of all what He desires is a relationship with us, and that relationship requires everything.

Dear God 

I pray that I no longer seek the things of this world

but the things of You

That the desires you seek are the things that I would seek

I pray for protection surrounding this that all negative, evil, and the devil himself would have hands off

God I thank you for the desires of You

Have those things which you desire be sown into my heart

A God of Desires: Us from God!!!!

If you haven't noticed that the thing that keeps us from God and what He desires is us. It is the flesh for sure, but it is us more than the flesh because we have the ability to choose whether to give in to our flesh or submit to God and His desires. 

It took 40 years for the Israelites to get into the promised land because they did not desire after God.  If you have been in church for a while, you know the story of how they wanted something to worship and could not wait for Moses so, they created a golden cow and worshiped it. 4 And he received it at their hand, and fashioned it with a graving tool, and made it a molten calf: and they said, These are thy gods, O Israel, which brought thee up out of the land of Egypt. Exodus 4. 

This whole thing of us desiring other things is not new and has been going on since the time of Adam and Eve. 12 And God saw the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted their way upon the earth. 17 And I, behold, I do bring the flood of waters upon the earth, to destroy all flesh, wherein is the breath of life, from under heaven; everything that is in the earth shall die. Genesis 6:12,17.

The problem is us as you gathered from the verses above. God flooded the entire earth because he could not one that was desiring Him in the right way. The only person who was was Noah who was a drunk. Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me. Revelations 3:20. God is standing at the door knocking waiting for us. we are the ones mucking it up and not opening the door to God and His desires.

Dear God I Pray right now 

For everyone to get out of the way and open the door to you God and your desires.

I pray for all the flesh of this world to put into submission to you Lord

I pray that the devil, evil and negative flee and the God fully surrounds all who read this

I declare victory and Praise you for the victory today

Just like you would get out of the way to dodge a bullet, get out of the way in your mind, your thinking, and your body parts and align with God's desire today!!!

A God of Desires: Submission Not Once....

 So, yesterday we were talking about submitting the flesh to God and today we will keep on this subject. To start off with submitting is not a one-and-done deal, you need to die and submit the flesh daily.  Put to death therefore your members which are upon the earth: fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry; Colossians 3:5. Everyday day we need to put the flesh to death!!! Yes, we need to kill, cut it off, and run away from the flesh, however, you want to put it, it just needs to be done daily. If we only, do it once and be done it will lead to our destruction and lead us on a path to hell. Remember if you do this daily what will happen, and that going-to-hell thing won't happen. Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. James 4:7. If we die to the flesh and submit to God that flesh will flee. the flesh is not of God but of the evil, and of the devil. The flesh wants what it wants but today we say no more. We call out the flesh and put it into submission today!!!!

Today I shout that the flesh is not what I seek

I seek and submit to God

I pray that the flesh would die 

that I would align with God's desires

God pray for protection

I pray for all negative evil and the devil himself would back down to hell and stay there

Call it out and put it into submission!!! So, whatever desire that doesn't come and is from God call it out and put it under submission!!! if you desire sex, money, drugs, alcohol, the LGBTQ community, suicide, and anything else you can think to call it out and put it under submission, saying today put that thing under submission then pray the prayer above.

I pray for every who puts their flesh to death and submits to God

I pray for protection for each one of them

I pray that the devil, evil, and negative surrounding this will leave and that each person is surrounded by God and His presence

A God of Desires: Submissions!!!!

Yesterday I ended with that we needed to put our flesh into submission and that is the first step if you want to call it to align with God's desires. If you seek God's desires, but you do nothing about your desires it will not be a victory but a setup for failure. But each person is tempted when he is lured and enticed by his own desire. Then desire when it has conceived gives birth to sin, and sin when it is fully grown brings forth death. James 1:14-15. If we give into our desires, it gives birth to sin and that leads to death, I don't about you, but I don't want it on my tombstone to say, he died for his own desires. So, that is why we have to put our flesh, our body, and our mind into submission. 

This takes you saying the verse in James 4:7, Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. But take it further and say, I submit to you to God. I resist the devil and I declare/proclaim the devil will flee. Call it out, sin is sin don't be shy, and run away if you have to! Show Authority, if someone said in a low voice to leave would you do? Maybe you would but mostly not but if someone shouted you needed to leave you would definitely do it. Get vocal and tell the lies that the world is generating for our lives no more I submit to God and deny my flesh.

Right now, I am going to do the same thing I am asking you to do, and that is to pray.

Dear God, I pray this morning for our flesh to be put into submission

I submit to you and resist the devil, evil, negative thoughts

And declare that these things will flee from me

Right now in Jesus name

I capture everything that is unholy and put it into submission to you

The desire of this world you no longer have a hold on me

Because I am a child of God and put my hope and trust in Jesus Christ

Pray this prayer and trust in God, for He will battle for you once you submit to Him!!!

A God of Desires: Worldly Then a Pivot!!!

 Did you check your heart yesterday? Do you know the worldly things (the flesh) you need to cut out of your life? If you know what your is, can you cut it out or are you trying to hold on to it? In this world, it says that we are self-gratify, seek self-pleasure, and give into the flesh. In Mark chapter 10 verse 25 it says, It is easier for a camel to go through a needle’s eye, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God. could we apply this verse to what we are talking about that it would be easier for a camel to go through a needle's eye than or align with God desire instead worldly desires (the flesh). In the verse, it is talking about money but I think it can be applied to all that is hard. the love of money is also a desire and can turn into a fleshly desire, one that can become unhealthy.

The point of what was said above is to say that the easiest things sometimes are the hardest to do. I am not surprised with all that we are confronted with each and every day, we are constantly seeing things about sex, money/wealth, beauty, and anything else that is of the flesh. The beauty industry is a billion-dollar industry, why because of the flesh. the porn industry is a billion-dollar industry, why because of the flesh.  The fact that we seek wealth all the time in trying to stab people in the back, walk on people and do whatever it takes to get ahead not in a good way, why because of the flesh and this idea that enough will never be enough I want more and more. The flesh is shoved in our faces to satisfy it daily. We live in a wicked world folks that wants us to satisfy that flesh and the devil himself wants you to do this, so you do not glorify God and seek Him. 

That is why we have the lie that we are to satisfy the flesh it is good and makes us better. Grant not, O Jehovah, the desires of the wicked; Further not his evil device, lest they exalt themselves. Selah Psalm 140:8. They want us as the verse says to exalt ourselves not God. That is of the devil and right now I declare and cast that idea out. I proclaim victory in the area of the flesh. To do that we need to put that flesh into submission and tomorrow we will talk about that as we pivot from worldly desires to godly desires and how to seek the desires of God.

27 But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway. 1 Corinthians 9:27

A God of Desires: Worldly Desires!!!!

Yesterday we looked at verses about the flesh and worldly desires and we were told according to 1 John 2:15 to not love the things of this world but love the father and that if we love the worldly things, we are in not in Christ. What we love and what is in our hearts is what we will desire. So, if we love sin, we will desire to sin. If the love of flesh is in our hearts, we will desire flesh. This boils down to what you love you will seek after and desire that thing. What you love that is where your desires will be. When you love something, you seek it right.

God right now I put into submission my flesh, my worldly desires

Be subject therefore unto God; but resist the devil, and he will flee from you. James 4:7

I declare and proclaim that the devil will have hands off the people who read this so, that they would be able to have freedom and the devil as the verse says will flee 

That God would be the desires of our mind, body, and soul

I pray for protection around this, and that people would align with you God, and put to death the flesh

Just like a doctor checks your heart, so should you. Take time today to check your heart and see where you need to cut out the flesh and align with God's desires. This message is short for a reason so, you can have time to check your heart.

A God of Desires: Bible Verse & Prayer

 But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. Galatians 5:16

So flee youthful passions and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, along with those who call on the Lord from a pure heart. 2 Timothy 2:22

Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride of life—is not from the Father but is from the world. And the world is passing away along with its desires, but whoever does the will of God abides forever. 1 John 2:15-17

Flee from sexual immorality. Every other sin a person commits is outside the body, but the sexually immoral person sins against his own body. 1 Corinthians 6:18

Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 1 John 2:15

There is verse after verse on this subject in the Bible so this must be important!!!!!

God I take time today to pray 

Today I ask for a total makeover

I pray that you change the desires I have to align with yours

that you makeover my heart, mind, and my soul

 that you wash over me and all else is washed away

I pray for protection around this

I praise you for the victory that I already am to have in this area

I thank you and praise you for all you do for me

A God of Desires: Worldly Desires!!!!

Worldly desires are desires of the flesh. The desires of the flesh are not from God but from what the world wants and what we want. If we do not put our worldly desires into submission, they will take over and our desires will be that of the world and of what we want. 

Let's take a look at some types of worldly desires:

Lust of the flesh

Money-greed

Identity- who you are and why gender you are, and they are rewriting gender

Fame

Jealous/envy 

Pride of self and what they are making pride into today

Self-pleasure- the body

degrading others

Anger

Drunkenness

Smoking 

and anything else you can think of

The Bible has a lot to say, to start off with in Galatians 5:19-21 says, Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. These are the things and what I listed, are the things of the flesh, our worldly desires. Some I listed are the same as the verse some not. but it all leads to worldly desires.

Today I want you to think of the worldly desire that you put stock in. Pray to God to show you if you do not know. Tomorrow we will keep looking at worldly desires meaning the flesh. I'm not sure how long we will be on this for God leads.

A God of Desires!!!!

What are your desires? What you seek after that is what you will desires. Many seek wealth, fame, pleasure, empty relationships, love not from God, success, and anything you can think you. The things listed above are what you are seeking that is what you will desire in your life and in your heart. To say not all those listed above are bad only are they bad if they are put in place over/above God. remember Matthew 6:33 and it says, But seek ye first his kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. We are to seek God's Kingdom first.  and thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength. Mark 12:30. We are to love and worship God with all heart, soul, Mind, and strength. With this have been said we are to desire first and with everything we got to the God who deserves it all (He wants everything). There's a song by Steven Curtis Chapman called For the Sake of the Call and it says, we will abandon it all. Meaning we will give up everything and be sold out for God and follow him and be with Him. If this is what you are seeking this will be what you desire.

But so often this is not the case we desire other things when we should know that all we need, and desire God will take care of as it talks about in the verse Matthew 6. In this next series, we will look at what you desire worldly. We look at Godly desires. We will at how to seek and desire like God wants from us. we look at what keeps us from that seeking and desiring.

So, if you desire, to seek God more and give Him everything buckle your seat belts and get ready to experience God like never before. This will only happen if you fully seek and desire Him.

Delight thyself also in Jehovah; And he will give thee the desires of thy heart. psalm 37:4

 7 then the Lord God formed [that is, created the body of] man from the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and the man became a living being [an individual complete in body and spirit]. 21 So the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam; and while he slept, He took one of his ribs and closed up the flesh at that place. 22 And the rib which the Lord God had taken from the man He made (fashioned, formed) into a woman, and He brought her and presented her to the man. Genesis 2:7,21-22

God made us in His image, I started to think about that as I was staring at what to write. I started to tear up a bit when I thought of that. That we are wonderfully made but God each one of us to be unique. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them. Ephesians 2:10. 30 But even the hairs of your head are all numbered. 31 Fear not, therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows. we more value that even the hairs on our head are numbered can you imagine how many people there are in this world and God took the time to number each hair. That is unimaginable to me. That God would know that we are our sinners and God would still take time to do this. Don't take this image that God has given you for granite, take time today to realize that. Not only realize that in your life but realize it in the lives of others. Let's start a new trend that men sees women as God sees them and women see men as God sees them. That the image of God would reign supreme over all over!!!!

I proclaim and declare that the image of God would be the image that we strive to live out in our lives, in our minds, hearts, and in our eyes. In Jesus' Name Amen

Image of God: View-Women-Man

Today we will look at how women view men. When looking this up as I did yesterday on google this one is not so easy to identify as for the men. So, I still saw physical body, which is not surprising in an industry with things like thunder from down under and chip n dales. But surprisingly it did not come up as much as it did for men. What can up for women's view of men was romance, money, power, status, wealth, and strength (How much you can lift type of strength). Men of more guilty of these things than women but that doesn't mean that women are innocent as by what I talked about above. Men think of women as a piece of meat and women think of men as a bank account (only good for the money). for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, Romans 3:23. this verse applies to us all even women. But what does God about men and how women are to view them?

It's the same as how God views women. God doesn't show favor to one sex or the other, He sees them equally. God loves us all the same if we are female or male or male or female. however, you write it is the same thing, God loves us all the same.

For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them. Ephesians 2:10. We just like women are created by God, to do the good works of God. We like women were crafted and the workmanship of God.

And God made the beasts of the earth according to their kinds and the livestock according to their kinds, and everything that creeps on the ground according to its kind. And God saw that it was good. Genesis 1:25. this does not specifically deal with us but I believe that when God made us, He would think the same thing that it was like the verse above says.

1 peter 2:9 says, But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light. Men and also women we are a chosen race and royal priesthood, a people who are God own possession.

There is a verse in a song that says we were the beggars now we're royalty. In Christ, we are kings and queens, a royal priesthood set apart in God for His possession. Men and women are the same in this, but men are kings and women are the queens.  We are going off what the bible says about this not what the world wants to say and is saying. God views men as His own and that is the image of Him so we can worship and give God our all every day. women are the same and to do the same.

Image of God: View-Man-Women

Today we will look at how men are supposed to view women according to God but first to understand that we need to look at how men view in according to the flesh. I typed the phrase how do men view women in google and the things that came up were words like property, sex object, degraded, and they look at the body. the one that came up the most was that men think of men as sex objects. One way to put it is they think of women as a piece of meat that can be conquered. That is why the houses of sin are full every night and sites of sin are visited more than other sites. We (men) are like hound dogs looking for a bone to satisfy our flesh. for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, Romans 3:23. So any man listening to this has sinned in some way in this area. but we are not looking at that today just how they view women. With all that said, how does God view women and how should men really view God.

For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them. Ephesians 2:10. 

To start off we need to remember and recognized that women are God's creation, his workmanship as the verse says. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well. Psalm 139:4. God made women and we praise God for that. they were just like men wonderfully made not just men. 

Do not desire her beauty in your heart, and do not let her capture you with her eyelashes. proverbs 6:25. Right their men we are not to look at her beauty in our hearts or capture it in our eyelashes. 

To continue as it says in Proverbs 3:15, She is more precious than jewels, and nothing you desire can compare with her. So, God views women as wonderful and beautiful beings created to worship Him.

Women are the image of God and equal in God's ways of how he views us. Just like God, men we should view women the same way.

 21 So the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam; and while he slept, He took one of his ribs and closed up the flesh at that place. 22 And the rib which the Lord God had taken from the man He made (fashioned, formed) into a woman, and He brought her and presented her to the man. Genesis 2:,21-22 

Today we look going to look at what a godly woman looks like. An excellent woman [one who is spiritual, capable, intelligent, and virtuous], who is he who can find her? Her value is more precious than jewels and her worth is far above rubies or pearls. Proverbs 3:10

A godly woman is trustworthy as says in Proverbs 31:11, it The heart of her husband trusteth in her,
And he shall have no lack of gain.

12 A godly woman seeks good and not evil as it says in proverbs 31:12, She doeth him good and not evil. The verse is talking about husbands but seeking good is seeking what we are looking at, not that it is husband. 

A godly woman is willing to work as it states in Proverbs 31:13, She looks for wool and flax And worketh willingly with her hands.

14 A go5 A godly woman takes care of her household as it says in proverbs 31:15She riseth also while it is yet night, And giveth food to her household, And their task to her maidens.

16 A godly woman equips herself for the task at hand with strength in Christ and the physical body like it says in Proverbs 31:17, She equips herself with strength [spiritual, mental, and physical fitness for her God-given task] And makes her arms strong.

18 A godly women dresses right with dignity and not looking like a harlot and that is in in strength and is secure like it says in Proverbs 31:25, Strength and dignity are her clothing and her position is strong and secure;

 A godly woman speaks wisdom not foolish things and she speak kindness not foolish unholy words like it says in proverbs 31:26, She openeth her mouth with wisdom;
And the law of kindness is on her tongue.
27 

A godly woman praises and fears the lord like it says in proverbs 31:30, Grace is deceitful, and beauty is vain; But a woman that feareth Jehovah, she shall be praised.

31 

A godly woman bears fruit like it says in proverbs 31:31, Give her of the fruit of her hands;
And let her works praise her in the gates.

A godly woman prays like in verses 18 chapter 6 of Ephesians, Praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end, keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints.

Today we will look at what a godly man looks like. To start off a godly man seeks God as it says in Matthew 6:33, But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. 

 A godly man worships God with all his heart, mind, soul and strength like it says in Mark 12:30, and you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul (life), and with all your mind (thought, understanding), and with all your strength.’

A godly man resist the devil and evil as it says in James 4:7, Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. 

A godly man renews his mind to conform to heaven not of the earth like it says in Romans 12:2,  And do not be conformed to this world [any longer with its superficial values and customs], but be transformed and progressively changed [as you mature spiritually] by the renewing of your mind [focusing on godly values and ethical attitudes], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His plan and purpose for you].

A godly man has a pure heart as it says in 2 Timothy 2:22, So flee youthful passions and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, along with those who call on the Lord from a pure heart.

A godly man pursues and stands up for what is right not what is evil like in verse Matthew 5:6, “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.

A godly man gets on his knees like it says in Romans 14:11, For it is written, “As I live, says the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.”

A godly man prays like it says in verse 2:8 of 1 Timothy, Therefore I want the men in every place to pray, lifting up holy hands, without anger and disputing or quarreling or doubt [in their mind].

A godly man is not ashamed of Gospel as it says in Romans 1:6-17, I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation [from His wrath and punishment] to everyone who believes [in Christ as Savior], to the Jew first and also to the Greek. For in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed, both springing from faith and leading to faith [disclosed in a way that awakens more faith]. As it is written and forever remains written, “The just and upright shall live by faith.”

A godly man knows when to say yes or no, as it says Matthew 5:37, Let what you say be simply ‘Yes’ or ‘No’; anything more than this comes from evil.

Finally, a godly man seeks these things as it says in Philippians 4:8, Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.

You make think of others, and you can share them, but these are the main ones that a godly man is as to what I have read and researched.
