Proverbs 1:20-33

 Wisdom Shouts in the Streets

20 Wisdom shouts in the streets.

She cries out in the public square.

21 She calls to the crowds along the main street,

to those gathered in front of the city gate:

22 “How long, you simpletons,

will you insist on being simpleminded?

How long will you mockers relish your mocking?

How long will you fools hate knowledge?

23 Come and listen to my counsel.

I’ll share my heart with you

    and make you wise.

24 “I called you so often, but you wouldn’t come.

I reached out to you, but you paid no attention.

25 You ignored my advice

and rejected the correction I offered.

26 So I will laugh when you are in trouble!

I will mock you when disaster overtakes you—

27 when calamity overtakes you like a storm,

when disaster engulfs you like a cyclone,

and anguish and distress overwhelm you.

28 “When they cry for help, I will not answer.

Though they anxiously search for me, they will not find me.

29 For they hated knowledge

and chose not to fear the Lord.

30 They rejected my advice

and paid no attention when I corrected them.

31 Therefore, they must eat the bitter fruit of living their own way,

    choking on their own schemes.

32 For simpletons turn away from me—to death.

Fools are destroyed by their own complacency.

33 But all who listen to me will live in peace,

untroubled by fear of harm.” Proverbs 1:20-33 NLT

But the fruit of the Spirit is peace.

But the fruit of the Spirit is peace.

The kind of peace talked about from what I read is talking about peace with God and peace with oneself.

God wants us to have peace in our lives, peace in Him, and peace of mind.

I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.” John 16:33 NLT

But all who listen to me will live in peace, untroubled by fear of harm.” Proverbs 1:33 NLT

Those who love your instructions have great peace and do not stumble. Psalm 119:165 NLT

There it is love then one of the other fruits in today's case peace.

If we love God, He will give us peace.

God is the God of all things including peace.

God loves peace. And this peace is a gift.

“I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid. John 14:27 NLT

Do you know the peace that was talked about today?

Are you able to have peace?

What areas of life are you not at peace with?

Is it hard to have peace in your life?

Think and meditate on these things, and questions and make necessary changes!

Psalm 14

 Psalm 19

For the choir director: A psalm of David.

1 The heavens proclaim the glory of God.

    The skies display his craftsmanship.

2 Day after day they continue to speak;

night after night they make him known.

3 They speak without a sound or word;

    their voice is never heard.

4 Yet their message has gone throughout the earth,

and their words to all the world.

God has made a home in the heavens for the sun.

5 It bursts forth like a radiant bridegroom after his wedding.

It rejoices like a great athlete eager to run the race.

6 The sun rises at one end of the heavens

and follows its course to the other end.

Nothing can hide from its heat.

7 The instructions of the Lord are perfect,

    reviving the soul.

The decrees of the Lord are trustworthy,

    making wise the simple.

8 The commandments of the Lord are right,

    bringing joy to the heart.

The commands of the Lord are clear,

    giving insight for living.

9 Reverence for the Lord is pure,

    lasting forever.

The laws of the Lord are true;

    each one is fair.

10 They are more desirable than gold,

    even the finest gold.

They are sweeter than honey,

even honey dripping from the comb.

11 They are a warning to your servant,

a great reward for those who obey them.

12 How can I know all the sins lurking in my heart?

Cleanse me from these hidden faults.

13 Keep your servant from deliberate sins!

    Don’t let them control me.

Then I will be free of guilt

    and innocent of great sin.

14 May the words of my mouth

and the meditation of my heart

be pleasing to you,

O Lord, my rock and my redeemer. Psalm 19 NLT

The Fruit of The Spirit is Joy.

But the fruit of the Spirit is joy. God loves it when we are joyful in life and joyful towards Him.

But let all those rejoice who put their trust in You; Let them ever shout for joy, because You defend them; Let those also who love Your name Be joyful in You. Psalm 5:11 NKJV

You have to have love to have joy. There is a reason thus far to me that love is the basis for all the fruits of the spirit but let's keep looking and see if that is true.

Ken Davis said it best that God is the author of Joy.

We are to have joy, not sorrow or pain.

For His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for life; Weeping may endure for a night, But joy comes in the morning. Psalm 30:5 NKJV

This verse tells us that things will come but joy will come back, we will be joyful again or have joy.

God does not want dried prune believers but joyful believers who keep his ways, worship Him, and does as He commands us.

The commandments of the Lord are right, bringing joy to the heart. The commands of the Lord are clear, giving insight for living. Psalm 19:8 NLT

We are to have joy and be joy in everything we do.

In The American Standard Bible which is the closest you can get to the original text talks about joy 195 times.

We know by this that this is important.

Joyful Joyful.

Is love and joy the first thing you are and are doing?

Are you Joyful all the time?

When are the times you are not joyful?

What does Joyful look like to you?

Think and meditate on these questions, but most of all mediate on joy.

Romans 5:6-11

Christ in Our Place

For when we were still without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die; yet perhaps for a good man someone would even dare to die. But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him. 10 For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life. 11 And not only that, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received the reconciliation. Romans 5:6-11 NKJV

The Fruit of The Spirit is Love.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love. I like what it says best in the Benson Commentary which says the source of all the other fruits.

The kind of love that is talked about in this verse is Agape. This type of love is unselfish, sacrificial, and unconditional.

God is all 4 types of love in the Bible. God is love, especially this one.

He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. 1 John 4:8 KJV

This means we must love Jesus/God, fellow believers, family, friends, and everyone on earth.

Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. 1 John 4:11 ESV

Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God. 1 John 4:7 ESV

“This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. John 15:12 ESV

God is love and all about love we know this from John 3:16 (KJV) which says:

6 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

The Bible is riddled with love and that God loves us and is love.

But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8 KJV

For God created all things and one of those is love.

For everything created by God is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving, 1 Timothy 4:4

Think of things that are agape kind of love?

Do you show agape love or some other kind of love every day?

Who are you not showing agape love to?

Think and meditate on these things and make changes if necessary!

Romans 8

8 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.

3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:

4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.

6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.

7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.

8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.

9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

10 And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.

11 But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.

12 Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh.

13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.

14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.

16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:

17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.

18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.

19 For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.

20 For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope,

21 Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.

22 For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.

23 And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.

24 For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for?

25 But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.

26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.

27 And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

30 Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.

31 What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?

32 He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?

33 Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth.

34 Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.

35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?

36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.

37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.

38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,

39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8 KJV

All Good Things!!!

My first view of church was the catholic church. So, prim and proper. I thought God was boring and that we could not have joy, laughter, or anything of that nature.  In church, I thought we had to be somber, proper, and a sour old prune. But in high school, I was invited to a youth group and that night they had a comedy group and I said to myself this is church.

God is not some stuck-up person or an old prune in heaven. He is the author of all good things.

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28 KJV

God is all things good!!!

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.  Galatians 5:22-23 KJV

In this verse, these are the good things that we are to have/be, and they are what God is. In this next series, we will look at the fruit of the spirit. each day we will look at one of the fruits and examine it and see what God has for us.

Every time I hear something I heard before I believe we should come with fresh eyes/ears and see what God has for us.

So, take everything you know about the fruits of the spirit forget it and come with fresh eyes/ears to see what God has for you.

God, I pray for this next series

God, I pray that you show us the things we need from this series

God, I pray for a fresh eyes/ ears for this series

I pray for protection surrounding this series from the evil, negative, bad spirits and the devil himself

I thank you God for the fruits of the spirit

In Jesus Name

Amen

Isaiah 61

61 The Spirit of the Lord Jehovah is upon me; because Jehovah hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the broken-hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound; 2 to proclaim the year of Jehovah’s favor, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn; 3 to appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them a garland for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they may be called trees of righteousness, the planting of Jehovah, that he may be glorified.

4 And they shall build the old wastes, they shall raise up the former desolations, and they shall repair the waste cities, the desolations of many generations. 5 And strangers shall stand and feed your flocks, and foreigners shall be your plowmen and your vine-dressers. 6 But ye shall be named the priests of Jehovah; men shall call you the ministers of our God: ye shall eat the wealth of the nations, and in their glory shall ye boast yourselves. 7 Instead of your shame ye shall have double; and instead of dishonor they shall rejoice in their portion: therefore in their land they shall possess double; everlasting joy shall be unto them. 8 For I, Jehovah, love justice, I hate robbery with iniquity; and I will give them their recompense in truth, and I will make an everlasting covenant with them. 9 And their seed shall be known among the nations, and their offspring among the peoples; all that see them shall acknowledge them, that they are the seed which Jehovah hath blessed.

10 I will greatly rejoice in Jehovah, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh himself with a garland, and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels. 11 For as the earth bringeth forth its bud, and as the garden causeth the things that are sown in it to spring forth; so the Lord Jehovah will cause righteousness and praise to spring forth before all the nations. Isaiah 61 ASV

Release & Liberty...

Isaiah the one who wrote this verse, and the book of Isaiah was a Hebrew prophet who predicted the coming of Jesus to bring freedom from sins.

The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the poor; he has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound; Isaiah 61:1 ESV

Last part of Isaiah 61:1

To proclaim release [from confinement and condemnation] to the [physical and spiritual] captives
And freedom to prisoners, AMP

to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound; ASV

to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound; KJV.

To proclaim liberty to the captives, And the opening of the prison to those who are bound; NKJV.

To proclaim release to captives And freedom to prisoners; NASB

Release according to the Oxford Dictionary, allow or enable to escape from Confinement: set free or to allow something to move, act, or flow freely.

Liberty according to the Oxford Dictionary, the state if not being imprisoned or enslaved.

Captives according to the Oxford Dictionary, a person who has been taken prisoner.

Let the words liberty and release wash over you as you read the verse.

Captives are no more because of the two words above liberty and release. Both words mean freedom from something

I proclaim captives are set free In Jesus' Name. This came to me in my spirit this morning.

I proclaim again captives are set free

I proclaim and declare freedom

I say to the devil hands off all captives in Jesus' Name

I pray no power of hell, evil, bad words, or demons can touch the captives this morning

I proclaim all are free In Jesus' Name

God, we thank you for the freedom we have in you from being captive

God thank you for the victory

We praise you for the victory we know we will have

In Jesus Name

Amen

1 Corinthians 15:50-58

Our Final Victory

50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; nor does corruption inherit incorruption. 51 Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed— 52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. 53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. 54 So when this corruptible has put on incorruption, and this mortal has put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written: “Death is swallowed up in victory.”

55 “O Death, where is your sting?

O Hades, where is your victory?”

56 The sting of death is sin, and the strength of sin is the law. 57 But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.  1 Corinthians 15:50-58 NKJV

Victory!!!!

 Victory is mine sayeth Lord!!!

But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Corinthians 15:17 KJV

I was looking at a blank blog screen and was wondering what God had for me and this came to mind and God led me to bring it up.

We are to have victory. This is not like we may have victory or if we do these things, we will have victory. No, we are to have victory. It is a promise from God.

Thine, O Lord is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is thine; thine is the kingdom, O Lord, and thou art exalted as head above all. 1 Chronicles 29:11 KJV

So, what do you need Victory from?

What do you need God to do right now?

Are you praising God for the victory or are you praying for the victory?

Think about these things...

Let's pray:

God, we thank you for the victory

God, we praise you for the victory

God, we give you all the glory and honor you deserve for the victory we know we are to have

God protect the victory we are to have from all evil, negative, bad spirits and the devil himself.

God, we thank you again for victory

In Jesus Name

Amen

Psalm 149

Praise to God for His Salvation and Judgment

149 Praise the Lord!

Sing to the Lord a new song,

And His praise in the assembly of saints.

2 Let Israel rejoice in their Maker;

Let the children of Zion be joyful in their King.

3 Let them praise His name with the dance;

Let them sing praises to Him with the timbrel and harp.

4 For the Lord takes pleasure in His people;

He will beautify the humble with salvation.

5 Let the saints be joyful in glory;

Let them sing aloud on their beds.

6 Let the high praises of God be in their mouth,

And a two-edged sword in their hand,

7 To execute vengeance on the nations,

And punishments on the peoples;

8 To bind their kings with chains,

And their nobles with fetters of iron;

9 To execute on them the written judgment—

This honor have all His saints.

Praise the Lord!

Psalm 149 NKJV

Glorify Him!!!

This psalm gives the when, where, and how we are to praise (glorify Jesus) as we have been talking about.

to recap the when:

24/7 kind of thing:

I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth. Psalm 34:1 NKJV

Where:

In the sanctuary:

Through him then let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of lips that acknowledge his name. Hebrews 13:15 ESV

In the heavens:

148 Praise ye the Lord. Praise ye the Lord from the heavens: praise him in the heights.2 Praise ye him, all his angels: praise ye him, all his hosts. Psalm 148:1-2 KJV

How:

Instruments:

Let’s come before His presence with a song of thanksgiving, Let’s shout joyfully to Him in songs with instruments. Psalm 95:2 NASB

Dancing:

Let them praise His name with the dance; Let them sing praises to Him with the timbrel and harp. Psalm 149:3

Breathe:

My lips will shout for joy when I sing praises to You; And my soul, which You have redeemed. Psalm 71:23 NASB

The end of Psalm 150 says, praise the Lord, the same way the Psalm started which says, praise the Lord.

We are to praise to the Lord. The Psalm says it twice, so we know that this is important. Praise the lord!!!

God, we praise you this day

God, we give you all the glory and honor you so richly deserve

We shout amen and hallelujah

We jump for joy

We praise You for all things and everything

We just say praise be to God

In Jesus Name

Amen
