Image of God: View-Man-Women

Today we will look at how men are supposed to view women according to God but first to understand that we need to look at how men view in according to the flesh. I typed the phrase how do men view women in google and the things that came up were words like property, sex object, degraded, and they look at the body. the one that came up the most was that men think of men as sex objects. One way to put it is they think of women as a piece of meat that can be conquered. That is why the houses of sin are full every night and sites of sin are visited more than other sites. We (men) are like hound dogs looking for a bone to satisfy our flesh. for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, Romans 3:23. So any man listening to this has sinned in some way in this area. but we are not looking at that today just how they view women. With all that said, how does God view women and how should men really view God.

For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them. Ephesians 2:10.

To start off we need to remember and recognized that women are God's creation, his workmanship as the verse says. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well. Psalm 139:4. God made women and we praise God for that. they were just like men wonderfully made not just men.

Do not desire her beauty in your heart, and do not let her capture you with her eyelashes. proverbs 6:25. Right their men we are not to look at her beauty in our hearts or capture it in our eyelashes.

To continue as it says in Proverbs 3:15, She is more precious than jewels, and nothing you desire can compare with her. So, God views women as wonderful and beautiful beings created to worship Him.

Women are the image of God and equal in God's ways of how he views us. Just like God, men we should view women the same way.

Image of God: Woman

21 So the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam; and while he slept, He took one of his ribs and closed up the flesh at that place. 22 And the rib which the Lord God had taken from the man He made (fashioned, formed) into a woman, and He brought her and presented her to the man. Genesis 2:,21-22

Today we look going to look at what a godly woman looks like. An excellent woman [one who is spiritual, capable, intelligent, and virtuous], who is he who can find her? Her value is more precious than jewels and her worth is far above rubies or pearls. Proverbs 3:10

A godly woman is trustworthy as says in Proverbs 31:11, it The heart of her husband trusteth in her,
And he shall have no lack of gain.

12 A godly woman seeks good and not evil as it says in proverbs 31:12, She doeth him good and not evil. The verse is talking about husbands but seeking good is seeking what we are looking at, not that it is husband.

A godly woman is willing to work as it states in Proverbs 31:13, She looks for wool and flax And worketh willingly with her hands.

14 A go5 A godly woman takes care of her household as it says in proverbs 31:15She riseth also while it is yet night, And giveth food to her household, And their task to her maidens.

16 A godly woman equips herself for the task at hand with strength in Christ and the physical body like it says in Proverbs 31:17, She equips herself with strength [spiritual, mental, and physical fitness for her God-given task] And makes her arms strong.
17
18 A godly women dresses right with dignity and not looking like a harlot and that is in in strength and is secure like it says in Proverbs 31:25, Strength and dignity are her clothing and her position is strong and secure;

 A godly woman speaks wisdom not foolish things and she speak kindness not foolish unholy words like it says in proverbs 31:26, She openeth her mouth with wisdom;
And the law of kindness is on her tongue.
27

A godly woman praises and fears the lord like it says in proverbs 31:30,
Grace is deceitful, and beauty is vain; But a woman that feareth Jehovah, she shall be praised.
31

A godly woman bears fruit like it says in proverbs 31:31, Give her of the fruit of her hands;

And let her works praise her in the gates.

A godly woman prays like in verses 18 chapter 6 of Ephesians, Praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end, keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints.

Those are the main ones that are listed above on what a godly woman is supposed to look like. If you know of more share them if you would like.

Image of God: Man

then the Lord God formed [that is, created the body of] man from the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and the man became a living being [an individual complete in body and spirit]. Genesis 2:7

Today we will look at what a godly man looks like. To start off a godly man seeks God as it says in Matthew 6:33, But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.

A godly man worships God with all his heart, mind, soul and strength like it says in Mark 12:30, and you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul (life), and with all your mind (thought, understanding), and with all your strength.’

A godly man resist the devil and evil as it says in James 4:7, Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

A godly man renews his mind to conform to heaven not of the earth like it says in Romans 12:2,  And do not be conformed to this world [any longer with its superficial values and customs], but be transformed and progressively changed [as you mature spiritually] by the renewing of your mind [focusing on godly values and ethical attitudes], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His plan and purpose for you].

A godly man has a pure heart as it says in 2 Timothy 2:22, So flee youthful passions and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, along with those who call on the Lord from a pure heart.

A godly man pursues and stands up for what is right not what is evil like in verse Matthew 5:6, “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.

A godly man gets on his knees like it says in Romans 14:11, For it is written, “As I live, says the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.”

A godly man prays like it says in verse 2:8 of 1 Timothy, Therefore I want the men in every place to pray, lifting up holy hands, without anger and disputing or quarreling or doubt [in their mind].

A godly man is not ashamed of Gospel as it says in Romans 1:6-17, I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation [from His wrath and punishment] to everyone who believes [in Christ as Savior], to the Jew first and also to the Greek. For in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed, both springing from faith and leading to faith [disclosed in a way that awakens more faith]. As it is written and forever remains written, “The just and upright shall live by faith.”

A godly man knows when to say yes or no, as it says Matthew 5:37, Let what you say be simply ‘Yes’ or ‘No’; anything more than this comes from evil.

Finally, a godly man seeks these things as it says in Philippians 4:8, Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.

You make think of others, and you can share them, but these are the main ones that a godly man is as to what I have read and researched.

*****New Series***** In the Image of God!!!!!

then the Lord God formed [that is, created the body of] man from the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and the man became a living being [an individual complete in body and spirit]. Genesis 2:7,21-22

In this new series, we will be looking at what a Godly man looks like and what a Godly woman is supposed to look like. First, we're going to look at What a godly man looks like. Second, we will look at what a godly woman looks like (the order is the order God made us, the man was made first then the women so that is why we are starting with man.) It's not my words or my actions, it is that of God, like the verses above in Genesis. Third, we will look at how men are to view women. fourth and final, we will look at how women are to view men. In this area, women are just as guilty as men are and we will look at that too.

As a Christian, there is no grey area in this, meaning to say that there are only men and women, and because that is not from me but from the Bible that is all the Bible talks about being two types of sex as it states Genesis. So, I will only be talking about what the Bible says and take everything from that.

Making Room for Jesus: Biggest Threat...

So, what is the biggest threat to making room for Jesus?  Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect. Romans 12:2. The biggest threat to making room for Jesus is not being conformed to this world, this means we are to be conformed to heaven. This threat is going through the motions, doing the mundane, and doing it to just do it. But if we renew our minds daily, we will make room for Jesus because we are seeking Jesus.

Have you ever gone through the motions at church or in your walk with Christ? Are you or have you coasted in your walk with Christ? Don't be like the Pharisees as in Matthew 23:23, Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you tithe mint and dill and cumin, and have neglected the weightier provisions of the Law: justice and mercy and faithfulness; but these are the things you should have done without neglecting the others. They picked what kind of things they wanted to do to seek God not even Jesus because they did not believe in Him if you have read your Bible. The Pharisees went through the motions and did the mundane. They needed a renewing of the mind so they could make room for Jesus. To bring home this point let's look at John 8:23 in MSG, Jesus said, "You're tied down to the mundane; I'm in touch with what is beyond your horizons. Mundane being the earth and the beyond your horizon is heaven.

I do not want mundane Christianity or motions or doing to check off a box I want to make room for Jesus each and every day. So, take time to answer these questions and see if you are doing these things and if you need to make changes so you can make room for Jesus every day.

What are you going through the motions in your walk with Christ?

Is your walk with Christ becoming mundane?

Are you becoming a pharisee?

Are you just doing religion or church practices?

Is any of this or all this causing you not to make room for Jesus?

What changes to these things do you need to do so you can make room for Jesus with a renewed mind?

Make changes today to make room for Jesus!!!!

Making Room for Jesus continued...

I want to say that I can tell you how to make room for Jesus and it's not by my definition or by me telling you, but the Bible gives an answer to this. Yesterday I shared Romans 8:3, What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who is against us? I said was that enough and I said cannot say yesterday and still struggle with that today. My room is still closed off and Sunday will come and no clue if I will open the room and make room for Jesus. I have promised God today is the day and/or that I will do it today, but the time comes, and I do not do it. I have even said that I had enough and will do this the next Sunday but still didn't do it.

So, the answer is found in Matthew 22:37, Mark 12:30, and Luke1-:27 but we will be using Mark 10:30 for today, and thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength. It's that simple we are to do that, and we will make room for Jesus. to make room for Jesus is to give Him everything. So, I bought up what I talked about yesterday, and that point to say then I am not doing this then. what is going through my mind right now is if it is so easy why haven't done it. Is it because I worry about what others will think or that people would think of me as a crazy person? I always have said I would think people that I am crazy than sane when it comes to walking with Christ but do I really. If I cannot do this, then I'm not so sure. I want to be sold for Jesus as the saying goes but I need to make room for Jesus first, that is my goal, but it hasn't happened yet. Are you struggling with your room for Jesus?

If that right song comes on and it does, I still don't do it. the prayer atmosphere is right but I still don't do it. I feel the room is on fire, but I still don't do it. I get a certain tingling and still don't do it. I keep praying to God in this area and keep getting this answer you're not ready. But is that not of God and from the devil/evil to keep me from Jesus, I do not know? Do I just need to let go one Sunday, I do not know?

This was led not by me but by God not to say that others were not but today was for sure. So, if it seems a little all over the place you know why.

All bible verses taken from the ASV

I pray for victory for your room that you need to open to Jesus

Pray that the door to that room opens today

Pray protection around that room you need to open to Jesus

Negative wouldn't harm this process

Bad Spirits wouldn't have a hand in this

The devil himself would have hands-off this

That we seek God and that he would surround us in His protection

I proclaim this over you that your door to that room would just open and there be a breakthrough in your life today

I declare the devil loses in this room and any room you have closed off to Jesus

I pray that the thoughts I cannot open the door be captured in Jesus' Name right now

I pray for all the things above come true today right now

In Jesus Name

Amen

Make Room for Jesus: Hard or Easy...

Each Sunday I sit there and say I will do it today, but the service is over, and it didn't happen. I promise God, I will do it this Sunday or that Sunday, but it never happens. The Same thing I do at home I cannot do the same at church. I want God to lead, and I want to make room for Jesus. I could tell you that I need to l need to just let go and let God which I have talked about, or I could say I need to let go and just let God take over.

But is that simple when you need to make room for Jesus? If it were that simple, I would have already done it. Sometimes making room for Jesus is harder than you think. 35 The people of Israel ate the manna forty years, till they came to a habitable land. They ate the manna till they came to the border of the land of Canaan. Exodus 16:35. And I have led you forty years in the wilderness: your clothes are not waxed old upon you, and thy shoe is not waxed old upon thy foot. Deuteronomy 29:5. If you remember the story that the verse talks about above, the people were supposed to cross over the Red Sea and go directly to the promised land after the mountain they were to go to. But it was simple, but they mucked it and they spent 40 years in the desert before they could get into the promised land that God had for them. God had laid everything out for them, and they still managed to muck it up and sin and then wait 40 years.

So making room for Jesus in that room you need to open to God is harder even when the road may be easy and just like Israelites, we tend to muck it up and sin and get in the way. When all we need to do is to get out of the way and let God Make the room.

All this points to my main point and that is making room for Jesus is harder than you think sometimes even when He is right in front of you. whether I do let go and do what I talked about yesterday by making room for Jesus in that way that will be the room where I not only have to cross the Red Sea but to not muck it up, so I don't have to wait 40 years to do it and be in the wilderness like Israel. I cannot tell you that you can do this, I do not know if that room you have will you make room for Jesus. God is with us as it says in Romans 8:31 (What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who is against us? Romans 8:31). Is that enough I cannot say. Normally I would say yes that is enough, but I cannot today for I have not made room for Jesus in my room yet. So I struggle for another week with this, and Sunday will come, and have no clue if I will make the room or not. I would like to think I would but no clue. I tell you this that the same things I ask and talk to you about I struggle with some of them too. I need what I talk about too.

So, while you try to make room for Jesus and keep trying to make it. One day you will be victorious hopefully I will to.

Making Room for Jesus...

Yesterday in Church we talked about making room for God and that Got me thinking about what I need to make room for God in my life. So, through God, I'm sharing this. (Only idea is from Church Yesterday). 13 Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, in the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13. But first we need to clean the house as it says in Colossians 3:8-10, but now do ye also put them all away: anger, wrath, malice, railing, shameful speaking out of your mouth: lie not one to another; seeing that ye have put off the old man with his doings, 10 and have put on the new man, that is being renewed unto knowledge after the image of him that created him.

Think of your body as a temple with many rooms and like it says in 1 Corinthians 3:16 16 Know ye not that ye are a temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? So, we temple of God as is clearly stated in the verse above. We know that we need to make room for God but are we just going through the motions on Sunday or daily. This got me to think about what rooms in my temple do I need to make room for God. So, I ask you what rooms (area in your life) do you need to make room, for God for?

I asked myself that very questions to myself and it's the same as for the questions I answer in the book I am reading. The question was what do you need to run from? The room and what I need to from is the idea that what do in the mornings I can do it at church. IN the morning to put in context I worship till I'm out of breath sometimes, I pray (and loudly sometimes) sometimes and shout and give to God sometimes, I dance sometimes, I jump, I shake, the tell the devil and all to go back down with authority, I run. but why I can't let that all go and do the same at church. why can't I make room for God like this in Church? I have talked about this before and I'm still here in the same boat I have not let go and just do it. I share this not to boast to tell you that the same things I ask you I ask myself and are in the same boat as you are maybe.

So again, I ask you what rooms (area in your life) do you need to make room, for God for? Take time today and if you feel comfortable share with me and the world your response!!!!

Jes:Us

In His very name, it says us, is that a coincidence, I do not know but for me, it reminds me that he wants a relationship with me. Us meansthe objective case of we, used as a direct or indirect object. That is the main definition on Dictionary.com but to me, the definition of Us means there is more than one person who is in the relationship. It means that there are two. Us=2. so throughout this series, we have looked at what the bible says about God and the relationship He wants with Us. it was overwhelming with the evidence that God wants a relationship with Us.

The point I leave this with for this series is But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. Matthew 6:33 and we are to as the verse says, And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ Mark 12:30. We are to seek this relationship daily and do it with all heart, soul, mind, and strength. Seek Him and he will seek you!!!!!

You+ God= what God desires and wants to do.

You+ God= what we should desire and want to do.

So, seek daily and create a relationship with God today.

Jes:Us

Today before we ended this series (tomorrow or as God leads) I wanted to pray today.

Today is the day that you have made Lord and I will rejoice and be glad in it

Lord help to have a relationship with you

Lord help to have this be a two-person relationship

Lord I pray that you will speak to me just as I speak to you

Lord please help me to hear you and drown out all the noise

That your voice would be heard above all

That negative wouldn't win

That evil wouldn't win

That bad spirits wouldn't win

That the devil wouldn't have my ear but only you Lord

I pray that nothing will keep me from this relationship

evil, negative, the devil, bad sprits  would not have an impact but only you and your voice

Lord, I pray that my timing lines up with yours and it be only you who leads me on this journey called life

Lord, I thank and praise You

You are the Alpha and the Omega

The beginning and the end

You are my all in all

In Jesus Name

Amen

Jes:Us

Today I want to finish up on timing I start talking about it the other day and never got to finish. I want it now, I need it now, I don't have time to wait, and when I pray it should happen right now. We are now generations; we want everything right now and don't want to wait for anything. God now please, right now God, And God I need it now. If it is not don't now, I do want your help God is another example. but let's look the bible says about this:

And this is the confidence that we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us. And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of him. 1 John 5:14-15. God hears all of our prayers if it is according to His will.

To the choirmaster. A Psalm of David. I waited patiently for the Lord; he inclined to me and heard my cry. Psalm 40:1. sometimes we have to wait for God to act and that is called patients just like the verse says.

For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven: Ecclesiastes 3:1

Pray without ceasing, 1 Thessalonians 5:17

The point of all this is about timing, not our timing which is now but God's timing. We need to pray in God's timing, not in our own timing. God knows all we need and what we are going through, so we will take care of it in His timing. That timing could be right now or in the future, that is up to God, not us.

So, I want you to pray this way:

Pray step one

Let God do it in His timing step two

Wait for it and it may not happen but know that God gives you everything that you need step three

Thank God for it step four

Let God's timing take over our own timing and let His timing rule over our lives. Amen to that!!!

Jes:Us

God knows what we need and at what time we need it. In Matthew 6:31-32 it says, Therefore do not be anxious, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. As I said in the open sentence and just like the verse says God Knows all that you need and will provide it for you. This doesn't mean He will not give you millions and billions, a speed boat, or a mansion on earth, well maybe. But as we learned in the series Seek ye first, we are to seek God first and then Know that God will take care of the things we need. Most of all He gives you everything you need to live and have a happy life.

So, if God can do all that for us don't you think He will talk to us and answer what we talk to him about. A conversation is not a one-sided thing just like a relationship. Well, some people think that a conversation is you sit and listen but that is not the case in this relationship/conversation. This conversation/relationship requires two and action. If you want in this relationship, you better be ready to talk and also listen as we have learned. Talk verse Matthew 4:6- Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. Listen Verse job 33:14- just that, For God speaks in one way, and in two, though man does not perceive it. When someone speaks you are to listen that is why I felt led from God to use this verse for listening.

Today I want you to think of all things you do not talk to God about? (Make a list)

Make a list of all the things you have been waiting to hear from God for and then listen for a response.

Prayer is simply a conversation between you and God. So, like you talk to your best friend, talk to God in the same way. Take stock, if you do this or just pray and leave the conversation even though it isn't done.

Tomorrow we will talk about timing (I talked a little but want to go further) which I have been trying to get to, but haven't I hope, but as I said I let God lead. I am leaving it here for today so you can have time to answer the questions above and really dig deep into those questions.

Jes:Us

In any relationship, tough decisions need to be made sometimes, luckily for us, we do not have to be the one to make the tough decision. God in the relationship helps us to make the tough decisions. God is the one who battles in this relationship. God is the one who will fight on behalf of this relationship.

As we learned on Monday that God will speak as it says in job 33:14 just that, For God speaks in one way, and in two, though man does not perceive it. So, we know that God speaks, and we are to listen, and that both of that requires action. The action we are to do is just shut up and listen, to quiet our minds and listen, to empty our minds and listen, however, you want to think of it, it is just that action then listen for God.

But I don't hear God, I do see Him battle, Tough decisions are not being taken care of. As I have said no response may be a response sometimes God doesn't respond to us and that is His answer. The next two things are more important than that.

The first is you have to have faith in those times when you don't see God Fighting, the battle, taking care of things. Do you remember our series on Matthew 6:33, But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. If you hold to that promise God will take care of things. That promise is we need to have faith in times we do not see God in our lives. Faith isn't what we can see but what we cannot see. I could on and on in that area but will move on to the second one.

The second one is to have patience everything God does is in His timing, not ours and I know that be frustrating sometimes. I will tell you right now I am just like you, not perfect, and have fallen short of God's glory like the verse says in Romans 3:23, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. We need to sometimes wait for God to respond. It's hard to do I know. We are a now generation, but God is sometimes on what I like to call Uganda timing. This means there is no hurry or stress to do it right now. The thinking, it's ok if you are late just call and it will be ok. Show up late It's ok. An example of this is you can be late for church and there be only one minute but if you leave in that one minute you are there you are considered a sinner. so in Uganda, they see time differently just like God does. We all want it now but that is not always the best thing for us. For there is a time and a way for everything, although man's trouble lies heavy on him. Ecclesiastes 8:6.

I will continue on this tomorrow.

Jes:Us

Today in my spirit I want to talk about listening for/to God in an exercise. for in Job 33:14 we know that does speak but do we/you listen.

Have you heard from God and knew that it was from Him? I was praying and seeking God for whether I should go back for a third trip to Africa so, I emailed my missionary and prayed to God if I am to God give in an answer in this email. I sent the email and got an overwhelming response yes. I knew that God had given me an answer. this is just one example of God really does answer our prayers and that He does speak to us.

When you pray do you wait for a response and then say in Jesus' Name Amen? So, after you pray take time to listen for Him. I do not do this as much or at all, but I used to after I prayed, I would just sit there and clear my mind and listen for God. It is not easy to clear your mind but is possible.

An exercise: Pray to God to hear Him after each prayer. then I want you to clear your mind by thinking that you are on the bottom of the ocean and only think of that bottom ocean while you clear your mind. Then just keep focused on that bottom of the ocean and then listen for God. If anything comes in refocus by saying, God. There is nothing to be on the bottom of the ocean so that is why we think of that. in this exercise, it is up to you how long it takes you to clear your mind and wait for God to speak there is no amount of time but in my experience, it is at least 15 minutes or more just to clear your mind. So, say at least 30 minutes to start off with.

Try this in your walk and relationship with God it will change your life!!!!

Have a blessed day!!!!

Jes:Us

I wanted to talk about who is evolved in this relationship and that is you and God. No one can have a relationship with God for you or on your behalf it has to come from you. You having fellowship with Other Christians doesn't constitute a relationship with God.  you knowing a pastor and go to church does not constitute a relationship with God. You Going to a small group doesn't mean you have a relationship with God. You reading your Bible doesn't mean you have a relationship with God. Anything you can think of holy doesn't mean you have a relationship with God. If you do not do this one thing and that one thing is major in any relationship and it is one that most Christians do not do at all and that is to listen to the other and that is God. We not only speak and do but we need to listen and do. We talk then God talks, we act then God acts, and we do whatever then God does His part. To be clear here it may be nothing that God does, or God does not say anything. That is still a response that sometimes has a greater impact than an actual response meaning verbal or action. So to bring this point home I will let the Bible speak for itself on this subject.

For I did not receive it from any man, nor was I taught it, but I received it through a revelation of Jesus Christ. Galatians 1:12

For all the promises of God find their Yes in him. That is why it is through him that we utter our Amen to God for his glory. 2 Corinthians 1:20

When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come. John 16:13

Before I was afflicted I went astray, but now I obey your word. You are good, and what you do is good; teach me your decrees. Psalm 119:67-68

But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you. John 14:26

For God does speak — now one way, now another — though no one perceives it. Job 33:14

We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your faith; if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach; if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead, do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully. Romans 12:6-8

Jes:Us

We have talked about ways we know God wants a relationship with us and what we need to do, our part in the relationship during this series. Today we are going to look at how to live it out. It has nothing to do with talking, it is all action.

And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. Matthew 22:37.

Oh come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the Lord, our Maker! Psalm 95:6.

Exalt the Lord our God; worship at his footstool! Holy is he! Psalm 99:5.

Then I turned my face to the Lord Godseeking him by prayer and pleas for mercy with fasting and sackcloth and ashes. Daniel 9:3

These are just a few verses but if you look at each verse it takes a physical action. In Matthew 22:37, the action is heart, soul, and mind. In Psalm 95:6, it is worship, bow down, and kneel. In Psalm 99:5 it is exult and worship. In Daniel 9:3 it is turning and seeking God. All these verses are action verses. This all point to one thing and that one thing, it takes action as it says in Matthew 6:33, But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. We are to seek the kingdom daily meaning we are to seek the relationship daily and put action (effort) into the relationship.

To have this relationship you don't need to turn left at the bend and then jump over hoops then run up a hill to the north you just need to seek Him, and He will seek you!!!

Do you want to accept the relationship God wants to have with you?

Jes:Us

As we talked about yesterday it takes two to have a relationship and this relationship is an all-or-nothing kind of thing. We need to seek this relationship every day. Just like God seeks this relationship every day, we need to do the same. 11 “For thus says the Lord GodBehold, I, I myself will search for my sheep and will seek them out. Ezekiel 34:11. He will seek us out to have a relationship with us. So, we have to draw (Seek Him) near to Him for Him to draw near to us. Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded. James 4:8. Even though God is looking for us daily that doesn't mean he will find us if we are seeking Him.

This is a two-step relationship we have to seek God at the same time He is seeking us, and it is every day not just once in a while or when we feel like it, is an everyday thing Seeking God. Just like the verse, we used yesterday in Matthew 22:37 says, And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. How do you expect to do that if you do it only once in a while or when you feel like it. this is an Everday practice to have a relationship with God. We need to put effort to seek out this relationship every day and not just once a day but all day.

What would that relationship look like if we sought that relationship all day long with God? What if we ran instead of walking to this relationship every day? What if we sought this relationship above all else? Think about that today and make changes if you need to.

What we are to do is very clear in this to have a relationship with God. Do you want to accept the relationship God wants to have with you?

Jes:Us

In any relationship, there are two parts to a relationship. The first part is one person, and the second part is the other person. You need two people to have a relationship. Since we know that God wants a relationship, He is the first part or first person. We are the second part or second person and need to receive the first part or in the verse in revelations, we need to answer the door to let Him in. Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me. Revelations 3:20. We need to accept God as our friend our savior, our lord, our king, our healer, and anything else you can think of that God is called we need to accept it. We need to as the verse says in Matthew 22:37 and it says, And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. We need to open the door and let Him In and then we need to love God with all heart, soul, and mind for this relationship to work.

This relationship is an all-in-or-nothing kind of relationship. In This relationship, you cannot be half in or half out or just sort of mere friends or a relationship like you say hi in passing or on the elevator. You have to be all in this relationship like it says in revelations, 15 “‘I know your works: you are neither cold nor hot. Would that you were either cold or hot! 16 So, because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth. Revelations 3:15-16. we have to be hot for this relationship, if we are cold, we would not want this relationship. Fire shall be kept burning on the altar continually; it shall not go out. Leviticus 6:13. We know God meant this literally, but we can use it in our lives as an example to never let the fire burn in us for God to never go out.

What we are to do is very clear in this to have a relationship with God. Do you want to accept the relationship God wants to have with you?

Jes:Us

The final evidence I will share with you today is the fact that Jesus is coming back. Yes, Jesus wants to return. So, Christ, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time, not to deal with sin but to save those who are eagerly waiting for him. Hebrew 9:28. He's coming a second time. I don't know about you but if I don't like someone particularly, I won't come around again or a second time. But Jesus wants to come back so that is evidence that God wants a relationship with us.

So to recap the ways we can know that God wants a relationship with us:

He is standing at the door and knocking waiting for us to open the door to have a relationship with us. Reference Revelation 3:20

God is in our midst. reference Zephaniah 3:17.

He showed His love for us meaning He wants a relationship with us. reference Romans 5:8

you have to put effort into a relationship and God does just that by the evidence of this verse above He gives a new heart. reference Ezekiel 36:26

The curtain of the temple was torn in two Just so we could have a relationship with Him what more proof do you.  Matthew 27:51

No one who wants a relationship with some gives someone a gift as good as that. Reference john 14:26

In the verse, it clearly states that He is with us. reference Romans 8:31

Jesus is coming back. Hebrews 9:28.

These are the things we looked at in the Bible to know that God wants a relationship with us. the evidence is overwhelming to me, I don't know about you? Copy and paste this if you would like to be reminded each and every day that God wants a relationship with you (US).

Jes:Us

To start off with today as we looked yesterday at the evidence God wants a relationship with us it is overwhelming that God does want one with us. The biggest evidence is the verse about the torn curtain in Matthew 27:51. As we learned yesterday, the curtain was torn from the top, meaning that it could only have been done by God. The purpose of the curtain was like a door between the holy of holy and the outside world. No one was to enter this holy place except the priest and that was once a year. So, The fact that the curtain was torn like that was very significant. God wanted everyone to have a relationship with Him, not just a select few.

Further evidence is what Jesus promises when He leaves this world and ascends to Heaven, which is the gift of the holy spirit. No one who wants a relationship with some gives someone a gift as good as that. But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you. John 14:26. Do you think someone who wants a relationship with you wants you to remember them or do you want to remember someone who didn't want a relationship with you? I think not if there is a reference to remembrance then they want to have a relationship with you and you with them. And to go further the verse talks about teaching you things. No one who doesn't want a relationship with you will teach you things. An example of this is a teacher-student relationship. God wants a relationship with us to teach us stuff.

Even more, evidence that Jesus wants a relationship is found in Romans 8:31 and which says, What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? In the verse, it clearly states that He is with us. I don't know about you but if I don't like someone, I don't want to be around them, do you? So, God wants to be with that means he wants a relationship with us.

The evidence is clear that Jesus wants a relationship with us. Do you want to accept the relationship God wants to have with you?

Jes:Us

Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me. Revelations 3:20. So today we talk about what the Bible says about wanting a relationship with us. if we start off with the verse above, He is standing at the door and knocking waiting for us to open the door to have a relationship with us. in 1 John verse 3, it says, that which we have seen and heard we proclaim also to you, so that you too may have fellowship with us; and indeed our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son Jesus Christ.  They have fellowship with God, and they have a relationship With Him.

The Lord your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing.  Zephaniah 3:17. God is on our midst so if someone is in our midst they want to be there. I don't know about you but I don't want to be in the midst of people I don't like. In the rest of that same verse it talks about saving, rejoicing, quiet, exult over you. but the most important word in this verse is love. You don't have a relationship or want one if you do not love them, right?

But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8. again you don't put love or effort into a relationship you do not care about or want. So, if we look at this verse, He showed His love for us meaning He wants a relationship with us. “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16. And I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit I will put within you. And I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. Ezekiel 36:26. you have to put effort into a relationship and God does just that by the evidence of this verse above He gives a new heart. He died for us so we could have a relationship with Him.

But the greatest evidence of all that he wants a relationship with us is found in 3 of the Gospels. but we will use the verse in Matthew 27:51, And behold, the curtain of the temple was torn in two, from top to bottom. And the earth shook, and the rocks were split. The curtain of the temple was torn in two Just so we could have a relationship with Him what more proof do you need!!! The evidence goes further in this verse which says it was torn top to bottom meaning no man could have torn it came from God Himself meaning He put effort and wants to have a relationship with us.

The evidence is clear that Jesus wants a relationship with us. Do you want to accept the relationship God wants to have with you?

Jes:Us

Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me. Revelation 3:20

Today we start a series entitled Jes:Us in which we look at the relationship God wants to have with us. We will start by looking at what the Bible says about God's relationship with us. We then look at what our part is in the relationship with God. We then will look at how to live it out. Throughout this series, I will ask one question and that is this, do you want to accept the relationship God wants to have with you?

God Is knocking at the door waiting for you to answer the door so He can come in and be with you and have a relationship with us. A relationship is a two-way street, you need to have both parties participate or it is not a relationship. the word relationship means in the dictionary, to have a connection, association, or involvement. A connection between persons by blood or marriage. An emotional or other connection between people. There was one more definition but not worth mentioning. Like I said before it takes two to have a relationship like the dictionary definition says a connection. To have a connection you need two points of contact to have a connection.

The very name of Jesus says he wants a relationship with us. Us is in the very name of Jesus. I am not sure if that was on purpose, but God does everything to bring us closer to him and to have a relationship with Him so, we can glorify His name and worship Him.  Let's us be dripping with Desire to want to have a relationship with Jesus today!!!
